Amy's POV-
I was at the train station in Northampton my hometown, waiting for the train to take me to London. You see, my parents have kicked me out and they're sending me to my auntie's house. It's all because I went to a party and got drunk, when I was supposed to be at home, just in case my sister lashes out. She has a form of autism, don't get me wrong, I love Molly with all my heart but she can be hardwork. She's 10 years old, she's had since she was about 2. I'm 18, I try and help as best as I can but I'm not the strongest of people. Molly kicks off about 3 times a day, one minute she can be so calm and quiet and the next she'll be kicking and screaming, about something small. I can tell that it's making my parents drift apart as they argue every night. I usually stay in my room, with my headphones on, trying to drown out the shouting. After every time, Molly kicks off, my parents end up taking their anger out on me, I don't mean physically but verbally. They shout at me thinking I've said something when I hadn't. Last night, I went to my friends 18th birthday, without my parents permission. They never let me out because they want me there for when Molly lashes out. This sounds bad I know, but it's like I have to put my life on hold because of Molly. They never let me do anything, I've lost friends over it. I waited til my parents had left the house and I got changed into the outfit I was going to wear at the party and left the house.
I was only supposed to stay for a few hours and get home before my parents could tell that I had been out. Well, that clearly didn't happen. I ended up having too much to drink and falling asleep at my friends house. The thing that made it worse was, I had turned my phone off so my parents couldn't contact me. I woke up at 7am, not remembering where I was. It took me a while to finally see where I was. I got up and grabbed my stuff and rushed home. I walked home, it took me about about 20 minutes to back. I tried to be as quiet as I could, when I was unlocking the front door, I really didn't want to wake my mum and dad up. I eventually unlocked the door and opened it. Once I was in I quietly closed the door behind me. I began to walk up the stairs but as I got to the forth step when I looked up and saw my Dad stood at the top of the stairs looking down at me. He was angry.
'Where the hell have you been?' he snapped.
'At Katie's,' I replied.
'Your sister kicked off 2 times last night..we needed you..but we couldn't get hold of you as you had turned your phone off. We have said PLENTY of times that you are not to go out,' he shouted.
'I'm 18 years old, I'm an adult so you cannot tell me what to do,' I retorted.
'As long as you're under this roof, you shall do as you're fucking told,' he boomed once again.
'I have to stop living my life because of Molly, everything revolves around her. I know she needs a lot of care and attention but so do I. I'm surprised you even noticed I wasn't here. You only want me when she has a fit. Well you'd be stuffed if I wasn't around,' I shouted back at him.
'That's it..you're not staying here anymore. I'm sending you to your aunt's in London. She can put up with your shit,' Dad snapped.
I'll be happy to go...have fun dealing with Molly on your own,' I said bluntly as I walked past him to my room. I got to my room and packed the biggest bags I could find with all my clothes and the things that meant the most to me. I then turned my phone on, so I could text Katie to tell her that I was moving to London. You'd think that I'd be more upset that my Dad's throwing me out but I am happy to get out of this house. I get on with my Auntie Jayne so I don't mind going there. I can't wait to get out of this shitty town. I grabbed my bags and stormed downstairs, not caring who I was waking up. Mum and Dad were sat in the kitchen. Mum just looked down at the table, it looked like she didn't want me to go but if she disagreed with Dad, they'd end up arguing again.
'I'll drive you to the station,' Mum said eventually.
'Are you going to let me say goodbye to Molly?' I snapped at Dad. I'd never really gotten on with my Dad, we'd argue over little things and he was so strict with me. Like, he wouldn't date guys, go out and drink. I've had to keep my boyfriends a secret, they never lasted because I would never let them meet my parents.
'Go and see her quickly,' he replied. I dropped my bags by the stairs and went upstairs to Molly's room. I opened the door to her room and walked in. She was sat up in her bed, looking at her book.
'Can I come in?' I asked her. She nodded her head. Me and Molly have always been close, we have our moments, especially when she has her fits but I do love her as I've said before. I went and sat down on her bed and said,
'I'm going away for a while to Auntie Jayne's so I won't be here..but I'll ring you and write to you, so I can keep in contact with you..Ok Babe,' I said to her. She began to cry,
'I don't want you to go..I want you to stay,' she cried.
'I wanna stay too but I've got to go,' I replied, whilst trying not to cry. I got up and kissed her on the head and hugged her before walking out of her room. I walked back downstairs, grabbed my bags and got into the car without saying goodbye to my Dad.The car journey was awkward, it was like my mum wanted to say something but was worried about how I would react.
'You know, I'll bring Molly down to see you, and we'll come and visit, with or without your Dad,' she finally said.
'Ok,' I replied bluntly.
'You know I didn't want this to happen Sweetheart,' she answered.
'Well, you didn't exactly stop him did you, and don't call me sweetheart,' I snapped as I got out fo the car. Mum followed me,
'Please...let me say goodbye properly Ams,' she said. I stopped and turned around. She walked up to me and hugged me.
'Your Aunt will be waiting for you at the station, you have to call her when you arrive in London, OK?' she told me. I hugged her goodbye and made my way into the train station. I brought my tickets and went to wait for my train. The train eventually arrived and I found a seat and got comfy as I had a couple of hours to go on the train. I got my Ipod out of my handbag, and put my headphones on. I started off by listening to Coldplay's recent album Mylo Xyloto, one of my favourites at the moment. It wasn't long before I was drifting off to sleep. At last, I had arrived in London. I picked up my bags and got off of the train. I had texted my Aunt to tell her that I was here. She told me to wait outside the station for her. I dragged myself and my bags outside of the train station. I must of waited for about 15 minutes but I finally saw Jayne pull up. She got out of the car and gave me a hug,
'It's so good to see you Amy,' she said after the hug.
'You too,' I smiled.
'Come on, let's get you settled at home, you've had a long morning,' she answered.
'Thank you for having me at such short notice,' I replied to her.
'No need to thank me, you know you're always welcome,' she smiled. We got into the car and made our way to the house.
'I'll let you get settled in when we get back, I've got to pop out and see the lads I'm managing, I shouldn't be too long,' she said as she pulled up onto the graveled driveway. Oh yeah, I forgot to say, Jayne manages different bands but she's just started managing a new boyband called The Wanted. There's five of them, she told me about them, but I've never met them before. She said that their names were, Tom, Max, Siva, Jay and Nathan. I got out of the car and grabbed my bags from the boot. We walked in and Jayne showed me to my room, it wasn't the usual room I usually stay in when we come to visit. She made sure I was sorted before leaving to go to work.*The Next Day*
The alarm on my phone began to ring. I turned over so I could reach over to the bedside table to turn it off. I grabbed my phone and saw that it was 10:30am. I pulled my duvet off of me and climbed out of bed. I put my long brown hair up into a pony tail and left my bedroom to get soem breakfast. I didn't think Jayne would be home as I thought she would have some sort of meeting to be at. I walked down the stairs slowly. I walked into the kitchen and put the kettle on to make myself a cup of tea. I turned around to go to the fridge to get some milk for the tea. I closed the door of the fridge and almost jumped out of my skin. A guy was standing there, he had brown hair, brown eyes, slim, toned figure..he was pretty hot.
'Who do we have here then?' he winked. He had a strong northern accent...I loved it.
'I'm Amy...Jayne's niece,' I introduced.
'She never said she had a niece...I'm Tom,' he answered with a smile.
'It's nice to meet you,' I smiled.
'Same to you,' he winked once again.Tom's POV-
I left the lads in the living room, to get myself a drink from the kitchen. I wondered into the kitchen, not expecting to see anyone in there. I saw the fridge door open and some legs standing in front of the fridge...they were a nice pair of legs if you don't mind me saying. The door shut and this girl jumped out of her skin, it was quite funny to see. She had brown hair, a slim, curvy figure, she was average height...a bit smaller than me. She had crystal blue eyes...they were gorgeous. She was wearing a t-shirt and what looked like her underwear. She was so hot. I couldn't stop looking at her. Jayne then came into the room,
'So I see you've met Tom?' she smiled. Amy nodded her head, and smiled. She had an amazing smile.
'You never told us that you had a visitor,' I said to Jayne.
'I haven't had time,' she laughed.
'Well, I'd better go and get changed,' Amy smiled as she grabbed her cup of tea. I watched her walk out of the kitchen and up the stairs..she had a nice arse aswell. Jayne knew I was staring at her.
'Keep your hands off her Parker,' she warned me.However, I think that might be easier said than done.
End of Chapter 1.
