Conversation between Dawn and Paul

Dawn: hey

Paul: Hi?

Dawn: I'm super nervous

Paul: I don't care?

Dawn: you do.

Dawn: you want this show to be just as successful as the last six you've done

Paul: You caught me. Your point?

Dawn: Do you have any advice for me?

Dawn: As your scene partner making her Broadway Debut

Paul: if I had advice I would've already given it to you

Dawn: For once can you be nice and help me out with my nerves?

Paul: Okay okay.

Paul: You think too much. You are not Dawn. You're Wendla Bergmann on that stage. And don't get me wrong, you're a captivating actress, but there are certainly moments where I can see Dawn. Don't let the audience break you.

Dawn: You're right I've always thought too much.

Paul: And as for tonight, enjoy yourself. It's your big break. After years of small professional theatres, you've made it. So pat yourself on the back, it's not easy getting here.

Dawn: Thanks Paul.

Paul: Broadway debuts don't happen often. Especially for leads.

Dawn: I mean I'm hardly the lead.

Dawn: You're the lead, Paul.

Paul: And what I'd give to get my Broadway debut back.

Dawn: Really?

Dawn: I don't think you've ever told me what it was!

Paul: It was Billy Elliot.

Dawn: OMG

Dawn: You dance??

Paul: I mean I did, but I'd much rather do shows like this one instead of that fluff bullshit.

Paul: Works like Spring Awakening mean something to people.

Dawn: You're right.

Dawn: I'm lucky to have this be my first Broadway show.

Dawn: What else have you done on Broadway?

Paul: Billy Elliot, Big Fish, Les Mis, Tuck Everlasting, Aida, Love's Labour's Lost, and now Spring Awakening.

Dawn: lol

Paul: What's so funny about listing my resume?

Dawn: Would you EVER do a Disney musical?

Paul: Yes actually.

Paul: Only Beauty and the Beast, the rest are garbage.

Dawn: Honestly, I never thought I'd agree with you more. Except Frozen is good!

Dawn: One day we'll do Beauty and the Beast together, how's that sound?

Paul: That sounds horrible.

Dawn: ;-;

Dawn: Anyways, I will see you tonight! I have a pre-show ritual and to get everything in, I have to start within the next 15 minutes.
