"Trust a person by his/her actions. Words can be spoken/changed by anyone at any time."
I woke up to the pungent smell of hospital disinfectant. The room was silent apart from my heavy breathing and the beep-beep sound you often hear in hospitals which meant I haven't reached heaven yet. I slowly opened my eyes, only to be hit by the sharp light piercing right through my cornea. I glanced around and took in the deserted and white color schemed hospital bedroom. How long have I been here? I shut my eyes, trying to remember what had exactly happened. Then it all hits me with a bang. The memory of it all starts to occupy my thoughts until I was met by a knock on the door.
"Well well well we meet again Ms water's, although funnily or not I remember we were supposed to have an appointment 2 months back?."
I smile awkwardly knowing I had no escape from hours long of the lecture. I shrugged my shoulders and looked down.
"Did you skip your medications, Emma?."
I continued to stay silent.
"I'll take that as a yes."
"Why did you ask when you already knew the answer drake?."
"It wouldn't hurt for you to admit your mistake now, would it? I guess I've been going easy on you. Do you think Johannah and Richard would be happy to see you the way you're acting right now?."
"Don't"
"Yes I will bring their names up Emma they're your parents, it's been 14 years Emma you have to accept the fact that they're not coming back! It's a harsh truth but you can't change it, you need to live with it and make them proud."
"You think I don't know? It's hard ok? Try being in my shoes for a day and you'll know!"
"You're not the only one who lost your parents Emma, I and Joey lost our brother, our best friends that painful night!"
I let my tears which I held in flow down my cheeks. Drake came closer and wrapped his arms around me pulling me into a tight hug.
"Shhh, it's alright Emma let it all out."
I kept crying and ended up falling asleep.
I woke up to dim lights and a dark figure on my bed. I looked to closer to check who it is to only find a sleeping Tarren snoring very quietly.
I slowly traced my fingers in patterns along his skin and trust me if I could stop time right now I would definitely freeze it.
He stirred.
"How long have you been awake?"
"When you started doing that thing with your hand. Why did you stop? It felt so good!" Tarren said not opening his eyes.
I smiled at his cuteness and took a glass of water.
*Knock knock*
"Can we come in? Are you guys decent?"
I choked and Tarren woke up with water on his face.
"Oops?"
Joey and Mia started laughing looking at each other.
"Seriously now tell us the truth! How long have you people know each other? Because I don't believe the whole crashing into each other story!"
Mia said giggling.I hope you guys liked this story! Do share your views!
Heart heart,
