"This should be fun..." he hissed.I couldn't move.
His disgustingly yellow eyes remained locked with mine. They were entrancing. The way his slitted pupils dilated, pulling me in.
I got up, I couldn't help it. The voice in the back of my head was screaming at me to run away, but my body did otherwise.
I wasn't in control.
My body dragged its feet across the brush, slowly, but determined. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see the broader man's shocked face turn into worry.
"Seth, stop."
The scaled man slightly jolted at the mention of his name.
He was loosing focus.
I felt a small amount of control return to my body and managed to stop myself from walking, but still was not capable of moving away.
I stood still in the clearing, about ten feet from the other two. His eyes were still locked onto mine, but less dilated. He was obviously disturbed by the mention of his name. Although his expression hadn't shown any sign yet, his eyes revealed a growing anger burning deep inside him.
Still staring at me, he warned in a low voice. "How dare you mutter my name..." I could see the rage continue to grow, but instead of it weakening his control of me, it seemed to increase his desire to pin me down. The mental fight over my body was exhausting, I felt myself loose control again. My legs started to walk forward again, my arms laying limp at my sides.
I continued to fight against his grasp, but my attempts proved futile, they only drained my energy more.
I quietly whimpered as I tried to stop myself. At this point, I was struggling to even remain conscious, hoping that if I remained awake, I might have a chance at living.
The larger man spoke again, the threat clear in his words.
"Release her now."
Seth seemed unbothered by his threats.
"There can be no witnesses, you know this Baron."
I felt myself walking towards them faster.
He's going to kill me.
I fought harder, the strain beginning to show in Seth's face as I began to feel a little more in control.
Realizing Seth wasn't going to let me go, and taking notice of his moment of weakness, Baron jumped onto him, pinning him to the ground. I felt his control slip away.
I fell to the ground, unable to move. I was completely drained, the only thing I could manage to do was keep my eyes open.
He's going to help me!
I watched them roll from side to side, each trying to gain the upper hand. Finally Baron managed to sit upright, his knees locking Seth with the ground. He pulled a dagger from his belt, and held it high above his head. He went to sink it into Seth's heart, but his attempt was pushed to the side, just barely clipping Seth's arm.
Seth hissed, blood pouring from the fresh gash that now painted his left side. Baron struggled to retain his control, barely managing to pull himself back up.
He went for another stab.
Instead of meeting it's mark, Seth grabbed the dagger. Tearing it from his hand and whipping it around, Seth dug the wicked blade deep into Baron's shoulder.
Blood drizzled down his forearm, a few drops could be seen falling from his elbow.
He growled at the pain.
