Chapter Seven : Little White Lies

"How many Lys Talbott's do you know?"

I choke on my pancake and start coughing while she continues to stare at me.

"Um w-what?" I ask, after gulping down some water. "Who's this?" and she shoves the phone in my face. The message is already open and it reads -

Yo, we're going to the Zoo at 4:15, you okay with that? It's the Tabby, by the way. Lysander Tabby Talbot :P (Save my number before you lose it Mia)

 I think quickly and answer, trying my best to look innocent.

"Oh that's just this guy I met at the mall. A guy-Chemist. His name's um, Tenzley. Yup, that's it."

Tenzley is actually a guy I met at the mall. (He hates T2E with a passion, but Acacia isn't going to find out about that.)

"Tenzley? What kind of a name is that?"

I look at her. "Rude, aren't you. I think it's a cool name."

"Okay, sorry. But how do you know it's him?"

"Because it's him! I mean, 'cause he's the only guy who'd text me saying he's Lys?"

I'm lying through my teeth but hey, there comes a time when you don't really have a choice, like right now. Alright alright, I have a choice but Ireally don't want to tell her right now. Besides, how would I have done it? I can't just smile and say "Oh yeah, that's the real Lysander, from T2E! We're like the best of friends!"

She would have FREAKED.  Hell, that's a mild way of putting it.

I'm definitely going to tell her, just when the time's right.

Acacia looks at me like I'm crazy and then sighs.

"Okay, cool. I'm going up to bed. See you later." And she gets up to leave.

"At 3:15 in the afternoon?"

She yawns, nodding. "I'm a bit sleepy, so yeah. Ciao."

I give her a small wave and grab my phone the minute she's out of sight. Saving Lys' number, I text back.

To: Lys T

Oh hey, Lys! Yes, 4:15 is okay with me, but we've got a tiny problem - Acacia (aka Crazy Chemist Twin Sister) saw what you sent me.

And I'm pretty sure she thinks something's up D: Where's Andy? I could do with his wise advice!

Well well well. I'm not going to say 'I told you so' EVEN THOUGH I WAS SO RIGHT. You should've told her! Now it's a tad too late, eh, Mia?

Andy's on the phone with his girlfriend *insert kissy noises here*

I laugh out loud, because it's his favourite song - the one by Alphaville - and it's also an inside joke. With his red hair and spunky attitude, he's often known as the Peter Pan of the band. So forever young, and Peter Pan? Makes total sense.

I put my phone down and sigh. Got to go get ready and then fetch Leigh. I send her a text telling her to get ready since we have an 'outing with the boys'. She gets all excited and tells me she'll be ready in a few minutes. So not typical Hadleigh behaviour. Maybe Acacia's had more influence on her than she realizes!

Now all I've got to do is get ready myself.
