Sophie and her friends sat in the school grounds. Albus had cast a disillusionment charm on them, and they now sat in silence, invisible to the students that whirled around them. "Here it is," Rose said. They all leaned in to see a small, detailed depiction of the void in the upper right corner of one of the books stained, thick pages of parchment. Beside it read the words:
THE VOID
It is well known that this monster of the greatest dark dwells in it's own realm of reality. Centuries ago when even Hogwarts was young and new. It's home is called the void, hence its name. The void is a place beyond death, and beyond time. It is some's deepest desire to travel to this place, but few have tried, and even fewer has returned. It requires very strong magic to summon the void, in addition to very rare ingredients. To those brave souls who wish to attempt the spell, see below for the potion:
Summoning potion: Ingredients: Stellarlune, Dragonblood, Dragon scale, 7 drops of draught of living death, 7 drops of draught of peace, Basilisk egg, one bottle of cursed fire
1. Bring a cauldron to a boil at 360 degrees, and add the 1 drop of living death, then one drop of draught of peace, until all 7 drops have been emptied. Stir thrice counter clockwise and stir clockwise until light pink, and steam rises in characteristic spirals.
2. Add a pint of dragonblood, then bring fire to a purple hue for time of 7 minutes. Bring flame to green, then let stand for 27 days precisely. Surface should shimmer silver, with hints of dark blue and green.
3. Take only the yolk of the basilisk egg and stir with 5 spoonfuls of stellarlune. Let cool at temperatures of 200 degrees, until mixture solidifies into a pearly white crystal. Crush into fine powder, and add into potion. Keep shell of egg for ritual.
4. Add quarter of fire to potion. Use the last to boil the cauldron once more, so sparks fly and flame is bright gold and white. Let boil for seven hours, let stand for 24 hours. Potion should be dark purple, with shimmers of iridescent sparkles. Surface should ripple, but not froth. Absence of steam shows proper brewing- if mist does cripple the potion, quickly empty. Potion will detonate soon after.
Ritual: Pick a large, vast space to summon the void. Pour potion steadley over rocks of pure crystal, along with crushed basilisk egg shell. When empty, crush vial against fist and let shards sprinkle over the potion. Chant the spell below until potion bubbles and turns clear. Void will be summoned.
Spell: "Vivetem- Expergismini!"
Wand movement: Swirl, sharp flick on the tips of ones fingers
Note: When performing the ritual, it is best that one is accompanied by another, as disaster is almost certain.
Dex was the first to speak. "Great. How are we supposed to get all these ingredients?" Fitz nodded. "Not to mention the fact that we have to let it brew and stand for more than a month- the Neverseen would be waging war before we've even gotten the cauldron!" Rose signed. "I know, but it's the only plan we've got. It's this or nothing." Everyone nodded. "We're in this together," Albus said. "For sure," She replied.
"Alright you lot- off you go- what are you doing dawdling in the corridor? It's a perfectly good day out! Off- off!" They scrambled for the door.
