Introduction
- Ta'reena
As I paced up and down the room thinking did Andre really just disrespect me like that,it had taken a few minuets for me to register the words he'd just said to me.
"Pardon come again" i asked him with a screw face. He continued to stare at the tv like I had not just asked him a question.
"You was bad enough to say something so rude aloud so I beg you repeat yourself" i shouted getting extremely frustrated.
I was very angry and frustrated because I'd sacrifice so much for this boy yet he couldn't learn to appreciate me or make me officially his. Andre completely took the piss with me that I no longer felt I needed to try.
I lay on Andre's bed scrolling through his blackberry contacts whilst he finally decided to speak up after ten minuets of utter silence.
"I said you ain't nothing but a chick that's always there when I'm bored" he replied in low voice.
As I thought of a smart ass reply but because I was hurt nothing came to mind but the gesture to instantly gather my belongings and leave. As i reached the front door to exit he began begging me not to leave. His hands trailed up my back making me feel disgusted with not only him but also myself for allowing him to treat me so wrongly.
"Andre I'd appreciate it if you removed your hands off me and never contact me again thanks"I spoke lowly trying to be the mature one.
He looked at me wondering how roles had switched,he was now the one feeling slightly guilty for his words knowing he didn't mean it as he cares for Ta'reena a lot.
He removed his hands from off my back now touching my face turning it in his direction as i refused to face him. I kept my face in place whilst he refused to give up in trying to get my attention.
"Look ree I'm sorry you know I don't mean that I'm just stressed"
She kept her eyes glued on the door handle as her first intentions were to leave without speaking things through but she knew Andre wouldn't give up till he thought they were fine again.
Andre was very persistent just like when he'd first met her.
She didn't think twice in giving him her time of day she had honestly had a long day at college and wanted to complete her shopping and get home to her cosy bed. Andre became even more determine to get her number when she continuously ignored him.
As Andre wondered off into his own thoughts, Ta'reena slipped her big fur coat off and putting her boots to the side. Her decision to stay was partly because she remember how cold it was outside and she'd rather the lift home. As she took slow steps up the stairs she thought of how her stupid decisions like the one she had just made gave Andre the impression that he could take her for a fool. A fool inlove thats what Ta'reena was. A little girl that was scared of change and losing ones she loved.
Andre's thoughts consisted of how he seriously need to sort his attitude towards Ta'reena before he lost her for good,even though he felt very confident it wouldn't be any time soon. As his thoughts were interrupted with the sound of his phone ringing he came back to reality look at the caller ID and sighed.
"Yo" he said into his phone walking to the opposite side of the room Ta'reena was on.
"Hay babes you busy"
Andre no longer had the interest to continue the conversation as he knew where it was leading so instead he cut the line off and turned his phone off in hopes of having a peaceful Friday night in with Ta'reena but little did he know.
Ta'reena eyes wondered around the room everywhere but Andre's. From observing Ta'reenas actions for more than ten minuets he began battling with himself if he should really tell her what's going on.
As he walked to her side of the room she began fiddling with her fingers in hopes he wouldn't becoming to sit beside her but he did. He kneeled down in between her legs and began explaining himself honestly for the first time in a long time
"Ree I love you no lie but I'm young I wanna do me I ain't trying to be true to anyone right now I love what we have but I can't give u the title you want now" he tried his best putting it in simplest way he could but it became difficult when Ta'reenas eyes began to water.
He felt anything he said after that wouldn't but matter which was very true as Ta'reena had heard everything she needed to hear.
"Okay I understand could you drop me home please"she asked wiping her tears with a smile that only she and him would ever know was pain hidden behind it.
They gathered there belongings and left, the silent journey home gave Andre all the reply he need signalling he has lost her for good no sorry could fix what had just been broken the two.
That night Ta'reena arrived home she went straight to bed with a broken heart and a new beginning.
She hoped.
