My Noona (Kim Minju X M Reader)

Chapter 2

In Sang-Nam's dreams ...

Sang-Nam sees himself in the car park where his parents were killed. Not far away, he sees his parents walking with a young version of himself. "DAD? MOM?" He sees them walking further and further away from him. He continues to chase and chase after them but still can't catch them. As he stops to take a breath, he hears a loud gunshot, "BANG! BANG!" He sees his parents getting shot and the robber running away, he quickly runs to his parents who laid dead beside a traumatized young Sang-Nam. Young Sang-Nam was crying in shock, Sang-Nam walks slowly when he comes near and kneels in front of their bodies, "DAD! MOM!". He hugs his parent's body and said: "I miss you ...." 

From a small distance, his dad and mom appear again standing before him  and say: "Son, it's alright, at least you are safe." He runs to them while sobbing and said, "it's all my fault! If I had not wanted to go home early from the movie, you two will be fine and still alive now and grow old together." "Its alright son, you must grow up from this and protect the ones you love. Goodbye son..." And like that, his parents disappear into the air like ash.

Sang-Nam wakes up from the dream and is panting heavily. "Oh my god, dad... mom...." He looks to his phone to check the time. Its 30 mins before the time when he and Minju usually wake up and prepare for school. He decided to take a moment and calm his mind after that dream.

'Protect the ones you love.... ' He remembers the quote from his father, and he looks over to Minju and he thought of his step-parents, uncle younggyu, and his wife. He ruffles Minju's hair and said "Noona, I will protect you and your parents. Especially, uncle younggyu and you. 

Sang-Nam can't fall asleep again after that dream and decided to lie down and just stare at the ceiling.

Few minutes later, Minju wakes up later and is surprised to see Sang-Nam already awake. She move her position to see Sang-Nam better and suddenly , Sang-Nam calls her. "Noona, you are awake already ?" Minju simply replied with a yes.

"Noona, it was my fault that my parents die , wasn't it ?" Minju was confused and said "Why ? You had that nightmare again ? Sang-Nam , it wasn't your fault, noone expected it..."

"Had I stayed and let my parents watched finish the movie, everything would be fine, they would still be alive and we would be a happy family still."
"Sang-Nam! It's not your fault, if any , it's the robbers fault !" Minju said and quickly hugged him from the side.

At this point, Sang-Nam is already sobbing and is trying to calm down. "Noona..."

Minju wiped his tears and asked him to wash up and prepare to go to school together after eating breakfast.

Minju prepares to go to the bathroom while Sang-Nam suddenly hugs her from behind, "Noona, thank you for being here for me when I need it. Let's go to the movie night then, I will try to overcome my fear" Minju smiles and hugs him back. "Good, let's go together" she smiles. "Now let's eat breakfast and prepare for school.

School Time (Break Time)

'My god, this is tiring. I don't really like school... Hmmm, maybe I should go hang out with noona.' He smiled at the thought of hanging out with Minju. 

"Alright class, its time for your lunch break. Go and have a good meal and a good rest. Oh yeah, by the way, there's a new student transferring from another school. You guys might see him in the canteen later, his either joining our class after the break or tomorrow." The teacher said and left.

"Hey, you wanna eat with us? Sang-Nam right?" 2 boys came to him and asked him. He declined the offer, "I will eat with u guys next time, I'm going to look for someone." and turns to head for the canteen.

Once he reaches the canteen, he sees Minju there at the side, looking at her phone. 'She must be waiting for me' He thought. He runs to her and tapped her shoulders, saying "Noona!" with a smile. "Hey! I was waiting for you." Minju replied with a smile. It melted Sang-Nam's heart.'

Together, they went for a meal in the canteen. "What would you like to eat here?" "Anything, I would eat what you eat, noona" So they ordered 2 bowls of kimchi chicken fried rice.  As they were eating, some girls came over with some boys and say " Hey Minju, is that your younger brother ?" "Yeah!"

"You guys look similar to each other, can we sit together with you guys for a meal?"  Minju looked over at Sang-Nam who just simply nodded. "Sure then" As they sat down together, a girl sat beside Sang-Nam, "Hello!  What's your name? My name is Yiren" 

'Hmm, she's pretty' Sang-Nam thought as Yiren smiled and blushed as Sang-Nam was looking at her face for a few seconds. " My name is Sang-Nam, nice to meet you" He smiled back and shook hands with her. As everyone was enjoying the meal, a loud crash sound was heard at the canteen.

"Thud!!!" Everyone was shocked and turned around to check the commotion. "Hey, nig***, looks like I 'accidentally' knocked into you, looks like there is no food for you to eat lunch. Hahaha, whoever helps or tries to help him, WATCH OUT" A student who looks like the same age as Sang-Nam and the black student was mocking the black student. 

As the bully laughed and walked back to his group of friends, Sang-Nam was both sad and mad to see the scene, yet no one wanted to help the bullied student. Is it because the student getting bullied is black? or is it because the bully was infamous already? Sang-Nam wondered.

As the bullied student was sobbing and trying to maintain himself and trying to pick up whatever food that is still edible, Sang-Nam rose up from his seat and walked to him. "Wait! Sang-Nam, just stay here. Everyone is looking" Yiren and Minju said worriedly. "And who knows  if the bully will target you for trying to help him."

"I don't care, he is a fellow student and is being bullied! I should help him " Sang-Nam says angrily and walks over to him and offers a hand to help him get up. The student raises his head up and hold on to Sang-Nam's hand and got up. " Thank you so much for helping." " No problem lets-".

Minju immediately pulls him to the side and says "That's enough Sang-Nam, I don't want you to be the target of any bullying. You are my younger brother and that's it!" She said with a worried face and tone. Sang-Nam kept quiet and looked down at the floor, feeling sorry to her. Minju wanted to walk back to her class when suddenly Sang-Nam suddenly hugged from the back and said "I'm sorry for making you worry noona".  Minju was surprised by this action and it made her heart beat faster. 

"Should I cook you some food at home to let your anger subside, noona?" Sang-Nam asked. 

" You really want me to not be angry? Come to the movie night with me then." Minju replied slowly. Sang-Nam started having cold sweats and looks scared. Minju decided to not force him and said "Its fine, I can't force you". Suddenly Sang-Nam says "Okay I will go then"
