"Sorry!" Kara said as she bumped into somebody. She was running late. Kara's phone rang and she switched her belongings to her other hand to answer it. "Hello?" she asked.

"Hey," a voice said. Alex Danvers. Kara's sister. "You on the train yet?" Alex asked.

"I'm about to be," Kara replied.

"I'm so glad you decided to move to Central City," Alex said. "Now I just need to get Mom to move down here."

"Good luck with that," Kara said. "You know Eliza. Once she finds a perfect place, it's hard to get her to move."

"Yeah. See you soon," Alex said.

"See you soon," Kara replied. There's the train. She hopped aboard and bumped into someone. "Sorry," they said at the same time. He's cute. Kara thought to herself. Kara's belongings had fallen over.

"Let me get that for you," the man said. He picked up her stuff and handed it to her. Damn, she's beautiful. He thought to himself. They both took a seat.
"I'm Kara Danvers," Kara said.

"Barry Allen," the man said. He stuck his hand out and Kara shook it.

"So what brings you to, um, Central City?" Barry asked nervously.

"My sister lives and works here and she got me to move here too. The place I work for has a building in Central City. I'm a reporter." Kara answered. "How about you?"

"Oh, um, I live here." Barry replied. "I'm a forensics scientist for the Central City Police Department. I was in National City investigating an unexplainable case."

"How unexplainable?" Kara asked.

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you," Barry replied.

"Try me."

"I think the thief had super strength."

Kara stared at him.

"I knew you wouldn't believe me. Nobody ever believes me," Barry said, frustrated.

"No no, Barry, I do believe you," Kara said.

"You do?"

"I do. Can I ask why you were investigating?"

Barry looked nervous. "I don't think you will believe me this time, but since you believed me about the thief with super strength, I'll tell you. I was different from everybody in school. I was treated like I was a freak."

"Barry, you're not alone. I was treated like a freak too," Kara said.

"You were?"

"Yeah."

"I'm sorry. Anyway, one night when I was 11, my mother was murdered. The sound of screaming woke me up. I looked at my fish tank, and the water was just like floating in the air. I went downstairs and I saw some red and yellow tornado or something in our house. Inside the tornado, was a man. My dad went to fight it when I was suddenly 30 blocks away from our house. When I got home, they were putting my father in a police car. The police think he murdered my mom." Barry sighs. "Anyway that's why I look into cases that don't make sense."

"Barry, I believe in the impossible too. Maybe, uh, if we get enough information, we could possibly put it in a newspaper and get your dad out of prison," Kara offered.

"Really? You'd do that? For me?" Barry asked, shocked.

"Yeah."

"You're awesome. Hey, uh, would you maybe want to, uh, watch the particle accelerator with me tonight?"

"Uh, yeah, sure. If my sister doesn't keep me with her tonight."

"Okay, cool. I'll see you later."

"See you later."
