February 12, 2035 is a day that will be etched into the minds of the survivors. A government experiment turned toxic, killing over half of the American population before it began spreading world wide. In an instance everything was gone. Everything everyone knew was torn away from them. The Earth became still. Silent. Loved ones who were just next to others were gone. Cell phone data and internet access ceased to exist. For a moment, the planet was an eerie resemblance of what it had been mere minutes before. When the shock wore off and the dust settled, the survivors began to emerge from the ashes. People began walking from the crumbled buildings. Some cried, some screamed, but everyone realized one thing simultaneously. The world had to be reconstructed. Society had to be rebuilt. A few of the American survivors got together with the other world leaders who survived, deciding each country should have it's own ruler. A few of the Royal family in England survived. William was crowned king and Catherine his queen. America knew it was to follow suit it if were to survive any longer. Two were chosen to rule, though they had never met. He was from Southern California, she was from Monroe, Louisiana. This is their story.
