Micky’s POV

I was doing an errand for my mom. She asked me to buy her some ingredients for our dinner tonight. It was the first weekend we’re going to spend as a complete family and with a new baby. I know Cobi get’s exasperated whenever I call him baby, but he does look one. I had pulled a cart from somewhere in the corner of the supermarket and started picking ingredients, when a familiar old man walked beside me.

“Mr. Gonzales!” I beamed as I looked up to the striking old man leering at me.

“I feel so glad you remember me.” He stretched his arms out and I leaned over and gave him a light hug.

“What is the well-known business man--Mr. Gonzales doing in a supermarket?” I raised a brow and tucked a smile for him. I just really feel comfortable with him. He just smiled and pulled the cart I was pushing.

“I am here to look for ingredients because I’m cooking for my son the day after tomorrow.” He surely have seen my eyes widening as he smirked and wriggled his brows.

“Are you serious?!” I asked him in a raising tone that made people glare at me, as if I’m yelling at the man I’m talking with. Well, kind of. Geezz! I even earned head-shakes from other costumers strolling in the supermarket.

“Do I look like I’m joking?” he smiled and made a serious face with brows meeting. The look CEO’s and some rich people have, intimidating and scary.

“Yea. Sorry I raised my voice.” I lowered my gaze as I pulled another item from the stall. It was surely embarrassing.

“Nah. That’s fine.” "I'm serious!" He screamed earning peircing looks from other but we just stared for a second ang laughed hard. He smiled and tapped my shoulder as he tried relaxed. “He wanted to talk to me, and I asked if we could also have dinner at home and he said yes.” His eyes were showing how happy he was.

“That is such good news!” I told him.

Uncle Matt had gone off after receiving a call from his office; he told me there’s an emergency and he needed to attend to. I hope it’s nothing too serious.

I was helping my mom out as she prepared the foods in the dining table. We both did the main and favorite dish of everyone. Spaghetti! I called up Cobi who was still in his room, probably drawing again.

We all sat up and started eating after praying. Actually, it wasn’t enough time to thank Him for what he has given me. I need a lot of papers to write all of those.

            Ding dong.

“I’ll get it.” Cobi immediately stood up and sprinted towards the door.

I continued twirling my Spaghetti as Cobi spoke with thrilled voice. “Mom! Micheal’s here!” that made me choke up the food I was chewing. I raised my sight to my Mom who was beaming and my Dad, confused. I turned and saw Cobi pulling Micheal who was wearing neat white long sleeves that he folded until his elbow, a black tight jeans and a pair of black leathered shoes. Why is he so formal?

“Micheal!!” my mom rose from her chair and walked towards Micheal. “We’re having our dinner. I would really be pleased if you join us.” She said as her pink lips were smiling and her eyes glancing at me--teasing.

“No no, Auntie. I guess I just have to go. You’re kind of having a private dinner.” His voice was low and cool and his eyes caught the image of my Dad. “No! Please join us.” My mom insisted pulling Micheal towards the table and to a seat beside me. But before he sat, he looked at my Dad and gave him the best smile.
