I hop into my car, driving to the hospital. Fear whips down my spine as I pull into the spot, rushing inside. I spy a receptionist and run over to her."I need to speak to Nishinoya Yū!"
"Relation?"
"I'm his boyfriend! Please! Let me see him!"
The woman nods, giving me the number to Noya's room. I race down the hall, getting in the elevator. A woman gives me a dirty look, rolling her eyes as she steps on.
"What?" I snap.
"I'm trying to be happy right now, and you're disturbing me. My first grandchild was just born. You need to calm down."
"My boyfriend almost died! I'm not going to calm down!"
She rolls her eyes again, whispering something under her breath.
I'm not going to assume, but it sure sounds like "faggot."
I decide not to push any farther and press the button to the third floor. As soon as I'm there, I shoot the woman one last look, before running to the room number I was given.
I walk in, seeing my Noya unconscious on the bed.
"Noya?" I ask, hoping he'll hear me.
To my surprise, he moans lightly and opens his eyes, "A-Asahi?"
"Oh, Noya!" I cry, wrapping my arms around him.
He winces, and I pull away immediately, apologizing.
He laughs weakly, shaking his head, "I-I'm fine."
I sigh, kissing his head, "I'm so glad you're okay. I thought I was going to lose you."
"I-I'm so sorry, Asahi..."
"Don't be sorry, Noya. You're okay. Nothing happened."
For some reason, this makes him angry, and he begins to shout.
"You had to find me bleeding out on your kitchen floor!"
"Noya! Stop! It's over now!"
"Look where I am, Asahi! It's clearly not fucking over!"
"Nishinoya! Enough! You're alive, and that's all that matters!"
He breaks down, and I hold him close, being careful of his arm, "I-I'm so sorry. So so sorry."
"Please stop, Noya. You have nothing to be sorry for."
"I-I hurt you."
"And you surviving fixed it. Please, Noya, stop this."
He cries into my chest, and I run my fingers through his hair, calming him.
"'rry- S-so sorry."
I sigh, pressing a kiss to his forehead.
"Azumane-San?"
Turning at the sound of my name, I see a young doctor smiling at me.
"Yes?"
"Ah. So it is you. I'm Nishinoya's Doctor." He bows slightly, smiling at me.
I bow back, "Please, call me Asahi-San."
He grins, nodding.
"We've been expecting you. Nishinoya requested to see you."
I nod, "I was called."
He smiles, "I'm glad that our staff were able to reach you. Nishinoya was very adamant about you coming."
I look down at the whimpering libero in my arms and run my fingers through his hair, "He was screaming for me when they took him away. The paramedics wouldn't let me go with him."
I look up and see him frowning, "It's against policy to refuse a friend or family member to ride along with a minor..."
I sigh, "Well, it's all over now. I'm here, am I not?"
He nods, turning away to do some paperwork. I climb into Noya's bed, sitting against the headboard. His small body is able to easily fit with him lying down, his head in my lap. I just stroke his hair, trying to calm his trembling.
"A-Asahi...?"
"Yes?"
"A-Are you o-okay?"
"Of course I am! It's you we need to worry about!"
"I-I know. I-It's just that y-you must have b-been so scared..."
"I was. I thought you were going to die."
"I-"
"Noya, stop. You're not dead. You're fine. You're a bit injured, but the doctors are going to take good care of you. Daichi cleaned the kitchen and Suga helped me calm down. Everything is okay."
"S-Suga knows...?"
"Yes, Noya. Suga knows."
He lets out a small sob, "D-Does he kn-know I'm o-okay?"
"He's the one who answered the phone when the doctors called me. I'll send him a quick text in a little bit to tell him that you're doing alright."
He nods, wrapping his good arm around my waist. I look down, and he's looking up at me, eyes filled with sadness. I smile sadly, leaning down and pressing a soft kiss to his lips.
"I love you so much, Noya. Never forget that."
"I l-love you, too. Th-That's wh-why-"
"Shh. I know. I know. I will never, ever leave you, Noya. Never. I can't live without you."
"P-Promise?"
"Promise."
He smiles weakly up at me, and I carefully pull him into my arms. We curl up against each other, falling into a deep sleep.
I'll never leave Noya. Never.
