James Sirius Potter and the Broken Time-Turner

Chapter 1

Chapter 1- The time turner

(James POV)

Mum and Dad along with Uncle Ron and Aunt Hermione had just left for date night leaving Teddy (my godbrother) and Victoire (His girlfriend) in charge of me and my cousins. "Be good and don't cause trouble, that means to pranks or anything of that" my mother warned me before she left. I was offended, but what would you expect from James Sirius Potter! It's my name, it's in the blood coursing through my veins! But I'd save the pranks for later. Hehehe...

We all sat by the fire watching Lily and Hugo face off in wizards chess while Teddy and Victoire were cuddling on the couch. If only that could be me and Alice Longbottom, I've had a crush on her since I was 9, we were family friends so we hung out sometimes. Just then Scorpius Malfoy arrived traveled by the floo network I'spose. He settled down with the rest of us with Roses head resting on his shoulder, Hugo was shooting daggers at them. 

Time skip to after dinner

After dinner, I walked up to my room to grab a dung bomb I planned to set off later but I came across an open room. Not just any open room, but the room of my father's office. Dad was an auror, he brought tons of 'dangerous' or as I like to say interesting things. We were all strictly prohibited to be in there, even Teddy. But danger was calling my name how could I not take up this chance so, without hesitation, I entered. Cautiously as to not attract my siblings or cousins I looked around found old pictures and gadgets but something gold and shiny attracted my attention. It was a necklace, but not just any necklace it had an hourglass on it. I heard footsteps and stuffed it carelessly in my pocket. Lily entered the room and looked at me with suspicion.

(Lily POV)

James had gone upstairs no doubt to start trouble after about fifteen minutes of him gone I suspected something bad. After losing to Hugo multiple times I excused myself to the bathroom and saw Dad's office was open. I entered and saw James put something in his pocket. "What's that you put in your pocket eh?," I asked in a suspicious tone."N-nothing, uh how about we go downstair yeah? Before the others suspect something," of course I didn't believe him. "Show me or else I'll call Teddy" "Come on Lils don't be a snitch, you're better than that." "You're right I'm not a snitch. I'll just find out myself," I procced to reach for his pocket just as he ran downstairs in a hurry. 

"Give me it Jaime!" "Never, finders keepers lils" "What's all the commotion?" Teddy asked worriedly attracting the attention of the others. "James took something from Dad's office" "If you want it so bad catch it!" James threw the necklace but just as I was about to catch it, it fell to the ground, shattering instantly. "Oops..." James said nervously. "James you bloody idiot that was a time turner and you just broke it!" Rose yelled furiously. "How was I supposed to know it looked just like an ordinar-" but James was cut off when we noticed thick black smoke from the time turner raising from the ground indulging us as we coughed. Just then we all hit the ground in a dog pile. Where were we, I thought but just by looking at my surroundings, I asked myself, When were we?
