Forth POV
Thursday 8 p.m.
"This is not the way to my house," Beam protested.
I assured him that his father wanted me to drive him home. He looked at me annoyed but didn't protest and got into the car in peace. Even though Mr. Baramee did not order me to do it at all. I just don't want him to go home alone. Don't know what might have happened to him if he was alone, at this time of night. Seeing how he defeated several men without serious injuries, he might be great at fighting but what if his opponent used a devious method?
"You haven't eaten, right?" I said.
"I'm not hungry," he said, but his stomach betrayed him. I laughed when I heard the sound of his stomach. Beam cheeks turned red.
"I don't want to eat with you!" he protested. I ignored his words and parked at a street vendor.
"It's up to you whether you want to come or not. But I'm hungry," I said as I got out of the car. I ignored Beam. He refused to get out of the car.
"Night Forth. Why are you alone?" asked the food seller aunt. She has known me since I was in high school. I often eat here with my friends.
"Not every single person like me, Bi," I joked. She looked at me concerned and patted my shoulder.
"That's because you're too picky. With a face like you, you can get whoever you want," she said.
I laughed and looked at the car. Beam still doesn't move from his car.
"Not all Bi. There are people I can't conquer easily," I said. The aunt chuckled
"Then leave him," she said.
I laughed and ordered food before Auntie said more. When the food was served, Beam finally sat in front of me with his face bent. I tried to hold back my laughter and didn't say anything while I started eating. He also didn't say anything and started eating.
"Are you not going to say anything?" he asked suddenly while eating grilled octopus. His face looks messy because of the sauce attached to his lips. I want to clean his lips with-
"About what?" I tried to divert my mind.
"About today," he said, looking at me curiously.
I smiled faintly "About why you fight or what causes you to fight?" I asked. He looked at me without saying anything.
I cleared my throat "What do you want me to say?" I asked.
He shrugged his shoulders "I don't know. Usually adults will scold me. Saying that I shouldn't fight" he said.
This time I laughed "I don't recommend it. If someone tries to beat you up then it's only natural that you beat them back" I said. He paused and looked at me intently. His eyes look like a calm lake but so swaying. I was mesmerized for a few moments.
"You're weird," he said, turning his face away from me.
I smiled and looked at him
"You're not the first person to say that," I said. He snorted but said nothing more.
"You say you're single?" the food seller's aunt protested at me when I paid for her food.
"Then who is that cute creature? You didn't kidnap him forcibly right?" She added while scrunching her waist. I'm laughing. She knows my past is not very good.
"My student," I replied while blinking my eyes. She shook his head "seducing students themselves is a big sin!" She shouted.
Beam looked at me sharply when he heard my aunt yell at me. But he didn't say anything and got into the car. I drove her home.
