02: {The Declaration Of War}

"Conny?" the voice of the orange haired girl echoing in the room, "I brought Little Bunny" she continued stepping into the spotlight. Her eyes fell on a small silhouette standing just out of the ring of light. "C-Conny..." she took a step closer into the table until her eyes widened when she saw the little blonde's lifeless body. Her skin was pale and her eyes were colorless, Emma saw the red flower blooming proudly with the stem stabbing Conny's heart. She took a step backwards, she whimpers with fear "n-no...Conn-" before she could finish her words, a large shadow was covering her. Emma turned her head to take a look, she was frightened when she saw large sharp teeth covered with saliva going to take a bite.

'No! What should I do?!'

Emma tried to scream but no words came out from her mouth. She gasped and her eyes flung open, she breathes heavily to get some air "It's just a dream..." her chest was beating fast and she began to feel headache

'Not now...please, please...'

"It was just a dream" she squeezed her eyes shut to calm her down, "everything will be okay, Emma" she said to herself trying to not look at Conny's bed. Emma lets out a shaky breath before going back to sleep

Next morning the bell rings to wake the chldren up, suprisingly Amelie that's usually wakes up last wakes up the earliest. She rubs her eyes and tidying her messy hair, the girl looks around the room to gain conciousness as the others woke up. "Amelie! Amelie!" the younger kids called her, she raised her head and saw them lifting their shoes in front of her "can you help us tie our shoelaces, please" Naila asked sweetly "okay, okay, I'll help you with your shoelaces" Amelie replied followed by yawning

She stood up and did a little stretch before helping the kids get ready, Emma enters the room and Gilda gave a small shock "Emma! You look so tired, that running to the gate last night really drained your energy!" Gilda holds Emma's shoulders, Emma only nods at her. After Amelie was done helping the younger kids, she got dressed and combs her hair. She went downstairs with Eugene on her side, "good morning, Norman" she said when the white-haired boy enters the dining room with two Sherry and Nina holding his hands "good Morning, Amelie" he replied and gave a soft smile. Emma enters the dining room with a stack of plates on her hands, she looks pale and sad. "Mark, can you help me preparing the table?" mama asked the young boy "okay, mom!" Mark replied cheerfuly.

Emma stands still looking at mama with horrified face, Amelie approach her to see what's going on with her 'unrelated blood' sister "Emma~" her eyes are still on mama with fear in her eyes "Eugene, go help mama and the others. I have some 'bussiness' with Emma for now" the boy nods and runs to the other children. "Earth to Emma! Yoohoo~" she waves her hand up and down infront of the orange-head's face, Emma shooks her head and noticed Amelie "Oh, Amelie..." she said that with a low voice. "Emma, are you okay?" Amelie asked, Emma nodded but that doesn't convince Amelie to just left her like that.

"If you want to tell me something, tell me at the library in the afternoon" Amelie whispered before walking away. Ray enters the dining room with a pot on his hands "Good Morning, cyclops" Amelie said sarcastically with a teasing smile, "Good Morning to you too, bedhead. But I don't know that the bedhead can wake up early too" Ray teased her back with a smirk plasterred on his face. Amelie crossed her arms pouting in front of him, Ray only chuckles at her reaction which made her pouted even more. "You win again this time, Ray...hrrrngh..."

"Good morning, my dear children. Let's give thanks that 39 of us here are able to live happily in the house, today is also a new day" she said the ususal prayer as they graped their hands together, "thank you for the food" the children responded before having their meal. "Psst...Amelie" Emma said "Yeah, Emma" she responded after taking a sip of water. "Can we meet up in the library after the daily test?" she asked "oh, and is it okay if I'm going to bring someone else?" Emma continued. "Of course, Emma" she replied with a smile after finishing her meal.
