Chapter 5

Aquamarine's pov

The waves washed over me like I was a dead whale on the shore. The water from the sky pricked my face and the heavy wind brushed against my skin. My stomach stung, I've never felt this pain before. It felt like a heat was coursing through my body and burning ever so hot

I closed my eyes, maybe this was it. The end of my trail, Atleast I died single and not in the arms of a man

"What the hell-" a voice came from next to me. I peeked through and saw it was a human, she tripped onto the sand and her knees rested on my chest.

Oh the pain! The fucking pain! My stomach ached even more as a stinging sensation pierced into my stomach. I could physically feel the blood gushing out. I closed my eyes shut as I tried to maintain my breathing.

It's something I always did, when there is pain, it's good to control your breathing.

I could physically feel the girl's eyes on my body, she looked from my head, to my stomach

"I'll get you help" she mumbled. Oh please, I'm the Princess of Atlantis, I don't need anyone's help and certainly not a humans'

I threw my eyes open and they landed on her face. As if magically, my heart skipped a beat. She was beautiful, her short hair was soaked and slicked back giving her jawline a better frame. Her lips were slightly parted as panic shot through her eyes. I've never seen such a beautiful creature before, but now's not the time for gawking

"Yes, a mermaid, you humans are so slow" I groaned and rolled my eyes. I needed to get the hell off this sand and check whatever is going on with my stomach. Her eyes met my tail-

Annnnnddd, she went down. The girl's eyes rolled back into her head and she fell flat on her back. I rolled my eyes and propped myself on my elbows.

"You have got to be kidding me" I mumbled, I allowed her to lay there on the sand. The rain continued to pour onto us.

My eyes met my stomach, the red liquid oozed out with ease. I couldn't let this go on forever. I closed my eyes and swallowed a lump in my throat.

The cold air entered my nose and filled my lungs before escaping again. I regulated my breathing, the current flow through my veins, the energy bubbled in my blood as it flowed from my arms and trailed to my stomach. The open flesh pealed together, it looked as if it was stitching itself.

Where there was an open wound, was now nothing but skin. The waves carried away the stale blood that lingered on my waist. My wound was now healed, I felt the energy fade away and I opened my eyes

"Much better" I mumbled and smiled on my healed stomach

My eyes then went over to the girl, I rolled my eyes and propped myself on my back, my arms stretched into the air and I felt the energy course through my veins again

My palms opened like a flower lily and formed a shield over my body. The rain bounced off my palm and landed on the sand, avoiding any inch of my skin

The lack of water moisture caused my tail to sting. I groaned in pain as the scales moved around. I looked down and saw toes

"Holy shit" I gasped
"I have feet!"

The green and purple scales faded into long creamy legs, within seconds it had completely disappeared. I smiled to myself as I stood onto my feet. I was completely nude with my hair flowing over my breast, covering my nipples. Everything else was pretty much exposed
