While celebrating on her birthday with Harumin, Matsuri and Ume, when Yuzu is asked what she wants for her birthday, she gets an idea for her birthday present but instead of having it for herself, she intends to surprise Mei with it on her birthday...
"Yuzu dear, what do you want for your birthday?" Mama asked.
"Umm, I'm not actually sure!" I said. I actually really don't know what I want.
"Hmm, why not get another hoodie Yuzucchi?" Harumin suggested.
"Nah, I've got plenty already." I tried to think of something else but my mind was blank.
"Hmm, what about some cute stationary?"
"I think Mei wouldn't approve of them, I mean the last time I got stuff that I thought was "cute", Mei didn't seem to put them in that category-

"Anyway, I got plenty of stationary I mean, have you seen my room!" I groaned. This might be a lon- Harumin cut me off,
"Wait! What if you got a pet!" Harumin exclaimed, jumping up and down clapping her hands like a child going to the amusement park for the first time.
"That's right! You were talking about the adorable dog two pasted by when we went shopping last week and when we got home you kept on talking so much about it that Mei got a bit annoyed and started to say bears were more suitable. Then you and Mei began to bicker on which was better, a dog or a bear! You two sure were pretty confident in your opinions, I was gonna get a headache." Mama giggled the last part.
"Don't remind me. That was a full-on debate!" In which I lost miserably. I sighed remembering back to the situation...
Flashback- No's POV
The three women set down the groceries after going out to buy some food and supplies. Yuzu took out her phone and had a picture of the dog they had walked by during the trip on her screen. "That was the cutest dog I had ever seen! Did you see it wagging its tail, that was so kawaii! Dogs are the best animal on this planet. Don't you agree Me-"
Yuzu's words stopped in their tracks as she looked over to Mei, who was holding Kumagoro EXTREMELY tightly, she had an aura of death around her. Mei gave the blonde a scary and unusual stare. Anyone would have mistaken it to be a very pissed kill-on target glare.
"OH MY GOD, y-your face Mei, are y-you okay." Yuzu instantly stepped back.
"What are you talking about, my face is fine." Mei stated in an icy-toned voice, still wearing the horrifying expression. Yuzu started to settle down but much to Mei's dismay, she continued on talking about the subject she left off.
"A-anyway, don't you think dogs are the cutest?" Yuzu grinned, oblivious to a certain vein popping on the side of the raven-haired girl's forehead. Ume was certain that Yuzu had made Mei livid so she excused herself to sort the shopping and backed off into the kitchen, not wanting to get involved in a VERY heated battle between the step-sisters that was going to start.

Heyo, wats up peeps. I hope you enjoyed that chapter and I did plan on publishing it on Friday but I was feeling very crappy and stressed out on the school work I had to give in as half-term holidays started today.
