Rudra curl his arms around Rahul's neck, chirping happily. Rahul kisses his cheeks, brushing his hair with affection, they both seem so happy together. My baby misses his father and thinking that I felt my heart leap to my throat and its all I could do to keep the tears on the inside. Rahul moves over his car, avoiding internal emotional conflict, with a straight face I called him.

"We are going from my car, of course, you can follow us" Rahul's dark black eyes narrowed at me, while my son openly frowned at me.

"Mom, you said you both are dropping me together" Oh the sweetest pout ever, I must say my son is adorable. But here I need to focus on my battle against his father who is having all attention of my son.

"Yes Rudra, we all go together in your mom's car" I roll my eyes at Rahul, why he is being sweet since morning, Is he manipulating my son, so he can win his custody? My heart thumps in my chest.

"But I want to go by your car, I always traveled in mom's car, Dad please" Rahul stares me with hopeful eyes, I don't know what should I do? I don't want to break my son's heart, unwillingly I nod my head.

Rahul puts Rudra on the front seat with the seatbelts on, I was about to open the back door, when Rahul opened it for me. I am stunned with his kind gesture, he never did this before then why today. He flashes a courteous smile, I hop on the seat without giving him a second look.Rudra non stop starts talking with Rahul in a car ride, I try not to involve in their conversation because I don't want to exchange any words with Rahul. I am still too shaken with a thought of parental custody. My son is very talkative at his age. With a straight face I start looking through my phone, though my ears are attentive to their every word.

"Dad, Stephen has lab dog, and that is very huge" Oh not again, Rudra is too fascinated with dogs, he wants a pet for himself when he's still a kid.

"That's cool" Rahul matches his excitement, I am sure Rahul doesn't even know who's Stephen.

"Stephen takes him to the garden and play with him" my little scoundrel, I know where this talk is going.

"That's amazing" Wait for his next word Rahul, I mentally roll my eyes.

"Dad I am a big man now" Rahul adoringly pat on his head, Rudra smiles back.

"Don't you think dad I should also have a dog, I can take good care of him you know" I knew it, Rahul is taken aback, confused how to answer, he just nods his head. His gaze turns to me for help, as I am too busy on my phone, I missed their conversation, isn't it?

"What?" Giving him an unknowing look, I asked.

"Dad is gifting me a dog" My smart chap announced with a happy expression, I furrowed my brow at Rahul, he seems clueless.

"Really?" Rahul doesn't want to break his son's heart, he is in a dilemma, I thought to trouble him further.

"Wow, that's too sweet of him. I don't mind, if he keeps that dog with him and brings him to our home whenever you want." Masterstroke, you want to play daddy, go on. Rahul looks flushed, I know Ria doesn't like dog, bitch she wants my son.

"Mom, but I want to keep the dog with me" My baby argues, I raise my eyes at him and he knows the drill.

"Rudra, no dog unless you are ready to my condition" I literally want to laugh at Rahul, when he scratched his jaw. His old habit whenever he is thinking, his eyes suddenly snap at me and I feel embarrassed for staring at him. Quickly I turn my eyes on my phone.Finally, we reached to his school. He kiss his dad on cheek and then dip his head towards me. I thought he is going to kiss me too, instead he snatch the phone out of my hand.
