The Turn Of Events

"Sebastian! Is the carriage ready?" Ciel called out, slowly walking down the steps of the grand staircase of his manor. A tall figure was waiting besides the two twin doors of the grand estate. He placed a hand on his chest, dipping his head gently.

"Quite, my Lord." Sebastian said in his smooth voice. The butler opened the large oak door. Ciel gave a quick glance at his butler before exiting the manor. The four servants were waiting by the carriage, lined up besides each other. Mey-Rin was smiling widely, her hands laced in front of her.

"Have fun, Master!" She exclaimed, pushing up her glasses. Finnian was waving happily, Bardroy smoking his cigarette with a grin. Tanaka was holding the door of the carriage open, in his taller form. Ciel placed a heeled shoe on the footstep, climbing inside. He let out a soft sigh, sitting down on the cushioned velvet. Sebastian was standing in front of the servants.

"We'll be back late tonight. Do watch the manor whilst the young master is away." Sebastian smiled, looking at the three. Finnian raised his hand to his forehead, saluting. The other two did the same.

"Yes sir!" They all said in unison. Sebastian gave a nod of approval, stepping into the carriage after his master. Sebastian let out a hum, sitting across from his master. Tanaka dipped his head, closing the door. Ciel raised his cane, tapping it twice on the roof of the carriage. The driver slapped the leather reins against the horses, taking off. Ciel let out a soft sigh, leaning back in his seat. He gazed out of the window, resting his chin on his hand. He had one leg crossed over another. He drummed his gloved fingers against his thigh. Ciel's outfit consisted of two tones of blue. For pants, he fashioned a pair of navy blue trousers. His undershirt was white and ruffled, the bottom of the ruffles tucked out a bit. Over his undershirt, Ciel was wearing a small black vest, the front of the vest cut in deeply to show off the front ruffles that spilled out on his chest area. For an overcoat, the earl was wearing a matching navy blue coat, the back having a slightly small train. The front of the coat was cut, the insides lined with a layer of white. The high-low coat's ends were ruffled as well. Tied around the boy's neck was a cyan coloured bow, the same colour that matched the ribbon on his navy tophat. Ciel was wearing a pair of shin high heeled boots, the cyan ribbon lacing matched. For his cane, there was a cyan coloured bow tied around the handle. Sebastian smiled slowly, both of his hands resting in his lap.

"I assume you're quite looking forward to the ball. Your pallet choice is sublime." The ravenette butler commented. Ciel slowly looked back at the butler, raising his shaped brow.

"If I didn't accept his invitation, Alois wouldn't let me hear the end of it.." The earl Phantomhive murmured, flicking his gaze back to the window. Sebastian smiled, humming softly in amusement. It was entertaining to the demon to see his bratty master get dragged around by the lively blonde. His mind floated from the thought of his master to a particular servant who served at the manor. Claude Faustus; the Trancy butler. A demon of high mastery, being the first to truly test Sebastian with his skills. Despite their bitter relationship upfront, Sebastian was developing a sort of soft spot for the butler. He wouldn't admit it to anyone other than himself that he was thinking of the demon more than usual. In all honesty, Sebastian was looking forward to this ball because he would be able to see the spider once again.

Meanwhile at the Trancy estate, Alois was standing in the ballroom. The party had already begun, the golden manor filled with men and women dressed in riches. The blonde was happily talking to one of his guests, holding a glass. He glanced off a touch as the guest began to chatter away. His sky blue orbs scanned the dance floor, a nervous pang ringing in his heart.

'Where is Ciel..?' He thought to himself, frowning softly. The guest noticed the change in Alois' face. She tilted her head, pursing her lips.
