Peter’s Pov

Im sat on the couch with a drink in my hand,and demons in my head.I know this ‘me being his alpha’ thing isnt going to work out.He’s not naturally submissive,it wont work.An alpha guides and morphs his beta into the perfect wolf,the perfect man,just perfect.Derek will be scolded alot,i know this because of his stubborness.Our relationship will be weird after it all.It’s like a dad turning into your friend.The dad wouldn’t be comfortable because he wouldn’t be able to be the parent.It’d drive them both crazy.It will drive me and Derek crazy.

 

The one thing that im confused about is why he asked me to be his alpha for a day.He could’ve chosen Scott,the true alpha,or any alpha really.It’s odd that he chose me.

 

I sigh standing up and walking toward the bedroom that my exhausted beta slept in.He looked peaceful,that’s good.I tiptoe over to him to be sure not to wake him.I crouched down next to him placing my hand gently on his face stroking over it lightly.I sighed through my nose.He twitched a bit,but stayed asleep.Out of all the things that i have done,abandoning Derek was the worst.My nephews only source of family was taken from him ,and i abandoned him because of selfish reasons.He was so hurt when i killed Laura,maybe even more hurt becaus it was me who did it.Me and Derek were very close when we were younger and i probably crushed him.I owe it to him to do this for him.

 

It all makes sense now.He wants to be this way because he’s emotionally damaged.He couldn’t protect the family from Kate so he doesn’t want to have that responsibility again.He’s hurt so hurt,and it’s all my fault.

“Hey”,Derek mutters,walking into the kitchen.”Hi,breakfast should be ready in about ten minutes”,i inform him,flipping a pancake.He nods putting his head in his arms.I flipped another pancake onto the plate in front of me.”Derek”,i ask.”Hmm”,he hums.”You okay”,i ask stopping my process of making pancakes.He looks up at me,his mouth slightly open,his fangs out.”Hurts”,he frowns.I chuckle mindlessly.”Do you remember the first time that happened”,i asked.He shook his head slightly.”Your mind is at a younger age,it’s thinks you’re younger so it is making them hurt because when you’re younger your fangs are not fully developed.”,i explain.He growls clanking his fangs together.”I need to bite something”,he says irritably.I throw a rag at him.”We can get you a chew toy later doggy”,i taunt.He frowns.I laugh.

Luca’s POV

“So,what do you think of our ‘new found friends’”,i ask.”First-dont call them that.Second-they’re cool.A bit rowdy but alright”,Cyrus replies.I nod picking at the hem of my old shirt.”Can i stay over tonight”,i ask.”Course,you never have to ask”,he shrugs.”Thanks”,i muttered.He nods.
