Lilly's P.O.V- (of the phone call and what happened after Caleb hung up.)
'Get away from me! Get your hands off me! Don't touch me!' I screamed as Tyler's hand pulled me to a standing position, resting them tightly on my waist. His eyes full of greed and want as he looked me up and down. I squirmed trying to release myself but his grip was strong and unshakeable. His hand brush my leg as he pushed me onto the chair that rested in the centre of the dimly lit room. Tying my ankles to separate chair legs, he tied my hands to the back of the chair. He knelt in front of me, looking amused with himself.
'Your too easy you know that right.' He said resting a hand on me thigh, his thumb twiddling the switch-blade that protruded from it. Wincing, I took great heaving breaths as his hand traveled up the inside of my thigh, a devilish grin on his face. 'I think I'll have fun with you, Lilly, and you don't have a say in it whatsoever.'
'Touch me and James will kill you!' I spat, blood was oozing from my bust lip.
'Well I would love to see that, my love.' He said, challenge in his voice.
'Don't touch me. I mean it.' I grimaced as his hand edged further, nothing I said would stop him and there was nothing I could do either. He had won this round.James P.O.V-
The noises from inside the house were none existent as we listened at the front door. No cars were parked up and no one seemed to be inside. I tried the door and to our surprise it was open. We looked around the smashed living room our eyes falling on all the broken furniture that lay stranded around the room and adjoining kitchen. Small whimpers came from the room to our left leading to a separate dining room. We ran and tried the handle instantly. Locked.
Caleb backed up and slammed into the door. It didn't give. He looked down sheepishly, rubbing his shoulder. I reared my foot and kicked with as much force as I could muster and the lock smashed open. Lilly was tied to a dining room chair. A gag in her mouth. Her head was down and there were tears in her eyes as she spotted me. I pulled the gag over her head as she began shaking with fresh tears. Caleb untied her hands and her ankles.
'I'm so sorry, James. I'm so sorry.' She looked distraught as she cried into her palms. I was confused. I looked to Caleb who shrugged, unsure also.
'Lil, you have nothing to be sorry for, he kidnapped you and held you here. He was the one that hurt you, lil. You've done nothing wrong.' I tried comforting her, she shook her head. Caleb seemed to dawn on something, exiting whilst withdrawing his phone.
'James you don't understand-' she began, but I cut her off as it hit me with a sudden pang of guilt and anger.
'Lil- he didn't? Did he?' I said looking at her softly as she nodded, her face full of guilt and pain. I pulled her close and felt my eyes sting with the tears of anger and pain for Lilly.'I'm so sorry, James. I tried to stop him, I really did.' She seemed to plead, her voice was small and quivering.
'Lilly, it wasn't your fault, he is a sick man and he has done stuff to you that he can't regret. But that's not your fault, Lil. I would never blame you, never.' Her face seemed to lift slightly as she winced with a sudden shoot of pain. Looking down I saw two fresh wounds on her leg. One was a gunshot to her lower leg which was oozing heartily, the other was a small blade stuck in her upper thigh. I shook harder with anger as Caleb reappeared.
'Ambulance.' He said responding to my questioning look.
'Oh good.' I replied. Lilly was shaking in my arms, her breaths quick and short. Her face was wet with the tears that kept falling. Holding her close, I tried my best to calm her but she kept shaking.
'Lilly, look at me.' I said cupping her face. Lifting it slightly until she met my eyes. 'It wasn't your fault, Lil, you my Lilly no matter what.'
'James-' she was interrupted half-sentence.
'No, Lil. Listen to me. You've done nothing wrong. Ok?' I kissed her nose. She was soon flooded by police and paramedics. She was calmer than before. Every now and then she winced with pain as the doctors evaluated the damage of the blade and if they could withdraw it.
*later at the hospital*
James sat in the lobby, surrounded by his friends and family. Around him were Clarissa, Jamie, Harry, Jack, Willow, his parents, his brother Connor and Lilly's parents. They all shared worried expressions and nervous glances.
'Daddy?' Jamie's voice broke the heavy silence surrounding them all.
'Yes baby?'
'Momma.' She pointed through an open door where Lilly's face was just visible.
'Yeah it is baby, I told you we would find her.' He kissed her forehead as she kept looking over towards the door. A doctor approached them holding a clipboard to her chest.
'Mr and Mrs Cooper?' She looked from James' parents to Lilly's. Lilly's parents stood and looked to James. 'Miss Cooper requested a Mr Shaw and her daughter, Jamie, I believe she said.' The doctor looked from Jamie to the young men sitting around.
'Come on, Jamie.' James bent down and picked her up. Cradling her into his chest. They followed the doctor to where Lilly was laying in the bed.
'Hey Jamie Lou!' Lilly voice wasn't as weak as it was in the cabin.
'Mommy!' Jamie reached out to Lilly who pulled her on to the bed and tickled her. She squealed and squirmed in the bed as Lilly continued tickling her. Lilly's mother sat on the bed and brushed the hair from her face.'I'm sorry, baby.' She said finally.
'Mommy your baby?' Jamie raised an eyebrow at her grandma as she laughed at the idea. 'I'm mommy's baby too!' Lilly laughed and squeezed her mother's hand, trying to pass so many unsaid things through it. James stood a little further back watching the scene.'James?' Lilly's voice was quiet, but still reached him over the noise of the hospital. He walked to the chair next to her and sat down, holding her free hand with a squeeze.
'Yes, Lil?'
'When can we all go home?' She said a smirk playing at the corners of her lips. James snorted with laughter as her mother swatted her arm playfully.
'Lilly, seriously you're something else!' Her father said, smirking at her.
'You have around 5 days left until you can leave.' James laughed as Lilly groaned.'For fuck's sake! Did they catch Tyler?' Her voice was shaky at the mention of his name. His acts of violence swimming in her eyes like the ghosts of past memories. James exchanged a glance with Lilly's father, Charlie. 'What?'
'They didn't catch him, Lil.' Her face fell as she buried her face in her hands, groaning once more.
'He disappears faster than my drinks on a night out!' She laughed at her own morbid joke. James smirked and twisted her hair in his fingers, tugging gently. He lent forward, his lips pressed to her ear.
'Jamie's asleep already.' Glancing down, Jamie was curled into Lilly's stomach, asleep.
'Poor baby.' Lilly said closing her eyes herself.
