Chapter 13

The following weeks after Alex met Emilia's family he didn't get to spend as much time with Emilia as he wanted. He called her every night before he called it in for a night and saw her a few times a week, but not as much as he wanted to. Whenever he had time he went down to her café to see her even if it was for a few minutes.

Every time he sees Emilia he feels his heart grow and expand further. The simple things she does for him like sending him lunch at work makes him wonder how did he get so lucky to have such an amazing women in his life.

Alex was currently on his way home where he was meeting up with Emilia who picked up Aiden from day-care this afternoon as he was running late. The meeting with the board went over the original ending time putting Alex out yet again.

Alex pulled up into his street and smiled when he saw Emilia's car. Alex gave her the spare key to get into the house whenever he need her to pick up Aiden so he didn't have to call his mother all the way out into Sydney. Alex grabbed his work bag and walked into the house where he could here Aiden laughing.

"Sorry I am running so late." He said the moment he saw Emilia and Aiden playing on the floor.

"It's ok Alex, I cooked dinner, and we were just waiting for you to arrive home." Alex walked over to Emilia giving her a kiss on her head before picking up his little man .

"How was your day Aiden?" Alex asked drowning his son in hundreds of kisses.

"Good I play with truck today." Aiden giggled as his father put him back on the floor.

"How about I sever up dinner while you have a shower and change." Alex wrapped his arms around Emilia smiling as he rested his head on her shoulder.

"You are the best Em." Alex gave her another kiss on her cheek before going to his room to freshen up before dinner.

Emilia smiled as she watched Alex walk upstairs realising the more time they spent together she found herself falling in love with Alex and Aiden. It was hard not to love him when he was so caring and even though he had a very busy life, he still finds time out of his day to call and ask how she is doing.

"Come on Aiden, let's get dinner ready for Daddy." Emilia walked into the kitchen knowing the little boy was following behind closely. The both set the table while Emilia kept an ear out for Alex. As Emilia was getting drinks out the fridge Alex's home phone rang and Emilia walked over and picked it up.

"Hello the Costa residence." She said as she balanced the cups and drink in one hand.

"Hello I am looking for my son Alex Costa, I am sure this is the right number." Emilia froze not sure what to do. She hummed into the end of the phone contemplating placing it onto the two year old.

"Yes Alex is here, he is currently taking a shower." She placed the drinks and cups on the table and picked Aiden up.

"Sorry may I ask who I am speaking to." She heard after a string of Spanish words.

"I am Emilia Clark, Alex's girlfriend." She heard the women who was Alex's mother talk in very fast Spanish and it was like she was yelling at someone on the other end.

"Emilia dear it is lovely to finally talk to you. My son has been keeping you away from me, you will have to forgive him. I didn't want to meet you over the phone. Darling has Alex mentioned about our upcoming family lunch this weekend." Emilia saw Alex walk down the stairs fresh from a shower. His brown hair was still damp as he ran his hands through them. She was so enchanted by Alex that she forgot she was on the phone to his mother.
