"What ya reading?" Beck asked walking over to me as I was leaned against my locker. "The Bird Scene script. I wanna make sure it's perfect." he nodded and Andre came up to us.
"Do you guys know where I can buy ballet shoes?" he asked.
"Nope. But I do know where you can get yourself a pretty skirt and lip gloss." Beck told him.
Kaisa nodded, "I also have an abundance of them both so if you ever need any."
Andre looked at the two annoyed.
"Why do you need ballet slippers?" Beck asked putting his arm around Kai's shoulder as she leaned into his side.
"For ballet class." Andre answered like it was normal. "Isn't that kinda girly?" Kaisa asked.
"Yep just one big room full of girls and me." Andre said proudly. "You picking up what I'm putting down?"
"Yep. You and a room full of girls meaning more chances at something that won't happen." Kaisa said causing Beck to laugh.
Andre scowled at her as she laughed and began to reread 'The Bird Scene'.
When they were in Sikowitz's class, he decided to do a drive by exercise.
"You're all angry englishmen. Go." Sikowitz sat back and watched the class do impressions of englishmen.
"Now that we're all loosey and/or goosey, the time has come for our newest students to tackle 'The Bird Scene'. Kaisa you're up first, Tori out the room."
Kai stood up and walked to the front. "You forgot your book." Sikowitz said. She shook her head and told him she didn't need it.
"It was 1934 when my husband left me. Alone, living on the prairie was a dreary existence. No telephone, no radio. Only a large, majestic bird with whom I shared my feelings. One day when I was feeling low, I said to him, "Oh bird, you can fly. You can soar miles From this lonely place, yet you stay. Why?" And apparently, my question rang true, for that afternoon, the bird left. And so went my spirit."
Kaisa looked up and met Becks eyes. She approved of her performance and felt that it was truly one of her best.
She went to sit down back in her chair next to Beck.
Sikowitz turned to her, "You aren't going to ask me for my opinion?" she shook her head.
"Why should I listen to your opinion when you weren't the one to perform the scene?" Kaisa asked. Sikowitz clapped.
"Congratulations. You passed. Bring in Tori."
Beck wrapped his arm around Kai's shoulder and she looked up at him to find him already looking down at her.
Jade watched from a few seats over with a smile on her face. She noticed her brother's eyes when he saw Kaisa.
He talked to her after the showcase about 'the beautiful girl who sang like an angel'.
While watching Toris performance, Kai grabbed Beck's hand from his lap and held onto it. Something neither of them noticed, but Jade and Andre seemed to.
Jade quickly pulled out her phone hiding it from Sikowitz and texted Andre.
I call captain. I'll be your right-hand.
They looked at each other and smirked. Mission "Kai+Beck" is getting out into action ASAP.
