Hello everyone! I am so glad that you're here with us today! Welcome to the first-ever Poppy Awards! Anyways, here's the sappy speech I'm supposed to give:
Often times, writers can feel like the poppy on the cover. Alone. Forgotten. Worthless. This contest is designed to give us a voice! It's a reminder that no matter how difficult life is, no matter how many raindrops fall on our petals, we are special. We are valued. And most importantly, we can shine through the rain.
The cringe bucket is overflowing.
So yeah. These awards are designed to give writers a voice. Head on over to the "Rules" chapters to understand the rules, and then figure out what you want to do! If you want to enter your story, you can go to the "Writers' Forum" chapter. If you're more interested in judging, head over to the "Judges' Forum" chapter.
