Finn and Miles had both headed off to their rooms already when Xander and I began to fix up my bed. Xander brought me fresh linens to cover the couch with, as well as a soft blanket from the hall closet. Honestly, I am amazed that this bachelor pad even has extra linens. My brothers truly have turned into little housekeepers.
"Alright," Xander said clapping his hands together, "Is there anything else you might need? Water? An extra pillow? Another blanket?"
"Xander," I said, interrupting his list with a small smile on my lips, "I think I'm good, but thank you. Seriously. I really appreciate you taking me in this summer. I have really missed you guys. The house has been so lonely."
His eyes softened at my words. "You know I would take you in anytime, right? Don't tell the others but you are kinda my favourite,"
"I HEARD THAT!"
Xander send me an "oops" look and lowered his voice, "But seriously, we've missed you too, sweetheart. The apartment has felt pretty lonely too."
"But there are three of you living here, plus all of your college friends. How could this place possibly feel lonely, Xander?"
"Because you weren't here, Bug."
He planted a kiss on my head and hugged me tight to his chest.
"Just let me know if you need anything. I'm right down the hall.""Night, Xan. I love you."
"Right back at ya, Junebug."
After Xander disappeared into his room I settled onto the couch and wrapped the blankets up tight around me. This was my least favourite part of the day. Left alone with my thoughts and fears, only the dark as my company. Well, that is a little dramatic, but sometimes it feels like that. See, I am a bit of an insomniac. I mean, I have never been formally diagnosed as one, but basically I just have a really hard time getting to and staying asleep. So why bother trying? It was easy at home, there was so much to do in my room. But here, I am so close to the guys' rooms that they would notice if there was a light on or a movie playing. So, I just lay there hoping that sleep overtakes me.

This is dreadful. It feels like I have been laying here for hours staring at the boring white ceiling. At home there was at least patterns that I could trace with my eyes on the ceiling. The boredom is killing me, so I check the clock to see how many more hours of nighttime I have to endure before my brothers rejoin me in the land of the living.
20 minutes have passed since Xander left. 20 minutes. That means it is 1:34am and I have to wait at least another 7 hours before any of my brothers stir. I can't take it.
Grabbing my keys and my coat I head down to where I parked my mom's car and get in.
