(felt like i had to share this)

it had been a little over a week since i had become friends with the group. they all became a usual in the cafe and alex and i had their typical orders memorized by this point. sometimes it'd be me and the group or just me and sangwoo to walk there after school, but i was comfortable with them all. yoo was still not the nicest, but we got used to each other a bit. right now though it was just sangwoo and i on our way to the cafe and we were having a casual conversation about cats snowboarding.

he chuckled at my enthusiasm about a cat riding a snowboard. i smiled brightly after hearing his chuckle showing he was amused. she shook his head as a way of saying 'you're too much'. (bruh does he even have a fucking right to think someone else it too much?.... it doesn't matter that i'm the one that wrote it.)

"hey.." he started. i hummed to show i was listening. "you wanna go out somewhere? like after work i'll just take you to get some dinner or something." he asked. i smiled before frowning.

"ah.. i'd love to but... my dad is pretty strict on being home by seven thirty." i responded. my face darkened once again at the mention of my dad.

"but you're an adult.. can't you just like.. not listen? just this once?" he asked. i shrank under his gaze and thought about what my dad would do. i was about to refuse before i looked up at him and saw his hopeful expression. my eyebrows furrowed in thought before i caved in.

"i-.. i guess it couldn't hurt. just this once." i mumbled. he smiled before cheerfully continuing the conversation.

"are you sure the cat is really snowboarding? can't it just be photoshop?" he questioned as he looked at the photo i showed him on his phone. i gasped at his assumption and violently whipped out my phone.

"IT'S REAL I SWEAR!" i exclaimed as i searched for the video. after more mindless chatter with the occasional joke that had us both laughing, we made it to the cafe to see alex and the loud group talking and laughing together. she had gotten used to covering for me for the few minutes that i had came in late. she claimed it was only because the group was entertaining and because she was pushing me to finally ask out sangwoo.. even though i wasn't really interested in dating. i'm just not in the righth headspace. however, i did see a growing relationship between her and myung which got me to think that was the real reason of her being lenient with me.

she turned to see me and her expression lit up as she looked back and forth between me and sangwoo. i rolled my eyes before heading over to her.

"hey guys!" i exclaimed while waving. they all smiled, happy to see me. everyone in the group had grown to treat me and alex as part of them and i had gotten used to their antics and voices. they all seemed nice. except maybe yoo, they're just really really dumb. i chuckled as joon had choked on his coffee and beckoned sangwoo to come over.

"well.. i kinda wanna order some coffee first.." he said as his attention turned to me.

"ah! whoops! the usual?" i asked. sometimes with these guys, i forget that this is in fact my job and not a hangout spot. he smiled and nodded before joining the group and having a seat. i jogged over behind the counter to change before coming back out to be greeted by alex. she had her usual devilish grin as she stared down at me.

"i heard you're going out with sangwoo for dinner after work.." she started.

"rebECCA! IT'S NOT WHAT YOU THINK!" i shouted recreating the iconic vine.

"I WON'T HESITATE BITCH!" she yelled before before pointing a finger gun at me. we snickered before bursting out into a small fit of laughter until she regained her devilish composure.
