As planned, that morning Katsuki got up at 5am sharp and threw on some clothes he had picked out the previous night whilst on the phone with Eijirou. He recommended he wear light, flexible clothing, nothing fancy, but something he would wear outdoors. So, with his ripped jeans, basic white tee, and black open adidas jacket, he silently made his way downstairs and into the common room, where he stopped and looked around before sneaking out the front doors.
It was a cool, blue morning. Birds sang their daily melodies as the humid breeze filtered its way through the trees. The sky's grey tint gave off a rainy vibe, as though it had stopped raining recently, except everything was dry. To Katsuki, it was perfect.
He made his way to the front of campus, where he passed the grand entrance archway and smirked when he spotted Eijirou leaning on the schools metal wall a few yards away. He waved, and Eijirou looked up from his phone and smiled at him.
"G'morning! You excited for today's little surprise?" He said, passing Katsuki 'his' helmet.
He caught it. "Mhm, you refused to tell me yesterday." He put the helmet on his head. "Can I at least get a hint?" He clicked it on.
Kirishima paused for a second, his gaze upon the ground, before looking back up at Katsuki. "It's... training?"
"Why the fuck are we here? What is this place?" Katsuki asked to Eijirou's back as they walked into a clean looking building. They had to come in through an alley, which was sketchy, but Eijirou seemed like he was familiar here.
"You'll see, so be patient Blasty." He joked, opening another set of doors along the white lighted corridor. "I'm pretty sure you're gonna like this." He flashed him a reassuring smile, and it did it's job, Katsuki smiled back, a little calmer.
They arrived at a front desk, and surprisingly, the staff simply nodded at Eijirou, and turned back to their work. Eijirou walked on past them, and Katsuki followed.
'What could he have meant by training...? What is this place?' As Katsuki pondered about his surroundings, Eijirou led them to a door. Katsuki glanced down the long hallway in suspicion before looking back towards the opening door. He froze when he stepped through.
'Are those...?'
He looked around the room. There was a long, low bench, on its right end was a collection of containers, and above it was a wall, covered in supported guns and equipment. Eijirou walked past him calmly.
"So, wanna practice your aim?" He glanced back at a baffled Katsuki with a sly smirk, knowing he succeeded in surprising him.
"Holy shit. Are those real?" He asked, but he didn't need an answer, he already knew they were legit.
He walked further into the room, taking in more of his surroundings. The floor was covered in a rough black rubber carpet, which felt thick beneath his feet. All the way across the long room were a couple manikins and paper targets with human bodies printed on them. A few bullet holes already dotted them.
He walked to the weapon covered wall and ran his fingers along the length of a long black gun that looked familiar."That's a Carbon fifteen, it's pretty light so it shouldn't be too hard on you. Shooting it is a different story." Katsuki looked over his shoulder at Eijirou, who was setting down his stuff on a chair by the door, he watched as he pulled out your average pistol, the type you see in movies and what-not. Katsuki starred at the gun, it was black, with tiny sliver markings. He could look at it better when he walked up to Katsuki and handed it to him, noticing his interest in it.
"That's my old mans gun. Though I wouldn't call him that..." he trailed off. Katsuki ran his index over the side, where 'Kirishima' was engraved in it with a sliver tint lining its inside. "I found it in his old house, after he passed. It looked like he never used it before, so I helped myself at it." He leaned in a bit closer to Katsuki, looking down at his own gun and admiring it. "It even has jewels on it... heh." Katsuki couldn't help but softly touch Eijirou's hand as he turned it, looking down on the gun and pretending as though he hadn't been conscious of his act. Though he noticed and his eyes rested upon his hand, holding back the blooming emotion in his stomach and turning back to the wall.
"Here, let's try this first." He effortlessly lifted the small pistol off the hooks it was perched on and gave it to Katsuki
He starred at the gun, uncertain and hesitant.
"Well, go on, Try it." He glanced at the target paper across the room, before turning his attention back to Katsuki, watching him very closely.
Katsuki lifted his gun, bring his arms up and stretching them to their fullest, uncertain about the guns backlash.
He sucked in a breath, and tried to focus on his aim and to stop shaking. The finger rested upon the trigger slowly pushed it back...
BANG.
He shot something.. he actually shot something.
The bullet had shot right through the targets arm, leaving an obvious hole in its paper.
"Not bad for your first time.." he placed a hand on Katsuki's shoulder, trying to help regulate his breathing.
He was sweating. His eyes wide, and his mouth open as he took in shaky breaths. He gulped and brought the gun down so it was aimed directly at the floor.
Eijirou moved himself behind him, his hands sneaked down to hold Katsuki's and lifted their arms together. "Like this..." he aimed with the gun Katsuki held, and Katsuki let him do it. He touch of his upper back pressing against Eijirou's chest made his stomach stir with an unfamiliar feeling that sent heat right to his cheeks.
"Brace yourself Katsuki."
Together, they shot again, and to Katsuki's surprise, right through the targets head. He breathed, than exhaled out a small chuckle.
"I like the adrenaline this gives.." the let his head fall all the way back, which ended up softly bumping against Eijirou's collar. He looked up at him with soft eyes and a heart squeezing smile. Eijirou's heart skipped a beat. He smiled back.
Morning flew past quicker than Katsuki had expected, and soon enough, it was past twelve.
Katsuki looked up at Eijirou, sweaty and panting. "Let's head out, we've done enough for today..." Eijirou said, he took a gulp from his waterbottle. "Wanna go out to eat?" He looked at Katsuki, a smile played his lips. "Sure, but where?"
They ended up stopping for boba, although both were out of energy, they both admitted to not being hungry, and got the drinks to cool down and have a relaxing afternoon...
