"I was trapped inside this cave again. Here i was. All by myself. The usual.
What am i trying to learn from this? Or more like what was life trying to teach me out of my loneliness? Or was it just trying to slap me on my face about it?"
Ianthe wrote it in a paper, she had heard about this "Message in a Bottle" term human's use. She always swims to the so called "Middle of the ocean" and always brings herself up to a giant stone, where she writes her thoughts on a piece of paper, puts it in a bottle and lets them to the water.
Maybe sometimes someone will see and read her misery, maybe sometimes she will get a response from who she waits or the most likely to happen; she will still end up alone!
Despite that she never lost hope! She continued writing.
Can mermaids even write? You may ask...
Ianthe was one of a kind, not that she knew, she learnt fast, just by absorbing and watching. And writing was one thing that attracted her the most from human kind, she never wanted anything anymore, she just wanted to write, because that was one of the only ways she could somehow express what she feels.
She had ended up lonely, all by herself, with nobody around. All she had was the ocean and all the waves around it.
She felt the missing at times, but at times she appreciated that.
But above all she wanted to have someone to talk with, someone to understand her. Someone that will listen to her thoughts. All that she had to say.
That's when she discovered writing, she would cry the tears of her thoughts in a blank piece of paper, the blacks of the pencil being the blackness surrounding her inner self; full of sadness, misery, loneliness. She was too young to be broken by everything like that. She was an abandoned mermaid, all alone.
She put the paper in the bottle and threw it to the water, she usually stayed there watching it float away, but this time the bottle went back to her, and hit her right on her head.
"What was that?" Ianthe asked, she was shocked, that was very unusual to happen? In fact this never even happened before. "What was that i ask?" She shouted this time in fear. She threw the bottle to the ocean again, and the same thing repeated. She dragged herself above the stone, glitter falling off her tail while the water draws itself into the stone, leaving marks of a beautiful line following it across the other side of the stone, she bends down to see what it was, without fully bending her head to see.. another blonde girl jumps up and scares Ianthe a lot, making her scream in fear.
The other girl starts laughing ...
"Well hello there"
