"No Pearl! No!" Ianthe shouts! "I cannot do this! This Nightmare was a sign this is a bad decision!"
"But you told me you always had nightmares about him! What changes now?"
"This is different! I had never seen him writing letters for me, somehow i always felt like it was him, but this is the first time i ever dreamed of him writing and ever being sad for me! And the letter said that he tried to protect me. What if that is true?"
Pearl chuckles.
"You saw that dream because you strongly wanted to believe that! That is what you want to believe in. And sadly i will break it down to you; it is not the truth!
How would he even want to protect you by faking his death and leaving without any explanation? Above all, where even was he? How did we not see him neither of us this entire time?"
Ianthe inhales deeply, she makes a lot of sense, but she did not want to believe that, as Pearl said, she deep down felt different things. And she was soft for Decimis again, even if Decimis did not have to know that.
"Ianthe, you are naive but you are a wise person. You went through a lot, you should know what to do and how to deal with it by now!"
"You know what? Screw everything, i am out of this game, i am tired, and i really cannot accept another tragedy, especially if it is from someone who is a lot stronger than me, and someone.."
"Someone?" Awkward silence captures for a few seconds. "Someone you still have feelings for? Someone for whom you let your emotions control your intelligence? Someone for whom you think with your heart and not your brain?"
"Leave me alone Pearl. None of that is true, you are simply just throwing now. I do not want power or anything i just want him out of my life."
As much as she said those words with assurances in her face she knew she was not telling the truth, and that once more, Pearl was right! But she was not going to listen to Pearl and for once she was going to listen to herself. Or at least think twice before acting.
"I cannot accept it, i cannot do to him what he did to me."
"Ok then" Pearl says angrily. "Waste of my time, just so you know you are alone after this and you are dealing it on your own. I can assure you that you will never see me again!"
Pearl swims away and escapes from the castle slowly but roughly, from the anger-filled-with room.
"Where do you think you are going leaving me here alone?"
Ianthe starts chasing after her.
"Pearl, this is your house how come you will never see me when you have to come back?"
No response.
She gets to the door right after her, checks outside the door, Pearl seems to have disappeared! In seconds?
She checks our side wether she was hiding, but nothing. No trace of her being around, nor any source of her swimming away. The water was calm. How was that possible?
She turns around confused, alone, the loneliness she was used to, but she had hoped the company would have lasted longer...
