"Damien, I legit thought you were dead," I told him as we waited for Lottie to get back from her parent's errands.
Damien chuckled.
"Well I live," he responded. Damien was scrolling through old pictures on his phone from his first two years of high school in his old town. There was one thing off.
"Damien," I asked.
"Yah?"
I pointed at a picture of him cosplaying up as Canada from Hetalia.
"Were these glasses for the costume?"
Damien shook his head.
"Believe it or not, I actually used to wear glasses. But I lost my last pair so I can't show you them." I blinked.
"You? Losing something so simple as glasses? That's ridiculous," I scoffed. Damien chuckled.
"I know right? Oh well, contacts are simpler for me." My phone started ringing. I picked it up. It was from Zachary. I answered.
"Hello?"
"Hello there princess," he spoke. I blushed a little.
"I-I thought we agreed on no nicknames until we get closer," I responded. Zachary laughed innocently (if you can call his creepy ass laugh innocent).
"Sorry, probably slipped my mind. Anyways where are you?"
I scratched my elbow, a nervous habit.
"I'm at Lottie's house with Damien." Zachary's voice seemed to perk up when he responded.
"Oh can I come over?" I covered the speaker and turned my head to Damien. I whispered to him.
"Zachary is asking if he can come over here," I told him. Damien's calm, goofy manner turned to a mixture of horror and rage.
"I'm sorry Christina I know he's your boyfriend and you're my friend but I'm not letting that psycho come over to my girlfriend's house!" he spat. I gulped. I put the phone back to my ear and returned the call.
"Sorry Zachary, it's just a friend thing. Besides we saw that movie on Friday. And then we went to the park yesterday. One day away is fine."
Zachary hung up. I scoffed.
"Well that was rude of him." I turned my attention back to Damien. He still seemed pissed off. We sat there silently for a few moments. I was the first to speak out.
"So Damien, I'm wondering. What's your problem with my boyfriend?" Damien growled and went deeper into his hoodie.
"It's nothing. I just have a bad feeling about him." My eyes averted to Lottie's album collection and photocards.
"Damien, did Lottie tell you what happened at the movie theater with-"
"With Jackson and his sister? Yes. She told me after you two finished calling that night," Damien interrupted. He grabbed one of Lottie's pillows and held it close to his chest.
"Christina, I'm going to be brutally honest with you. If anything remotely bad happens with Zachary, you call the police." I was confuzzled. Call the police? On my boyfriend? That's bananas! Damien dug his face into the pillow. "Can we please not have this conversation anymore?" he said in a soft tone.
I sighed.
"Okay Damien, we can stop talking about Zachary."

Damien's POV
I decided to walk home from Lottie's. It wasn't a far walk. I wish I didn't need to leave early. But I do have a therapy session at 4:00.
Fucking PTSD. Fucking anxiety. I let out a heavy sigh. I still couldn't believe it only happened two years ago.
The incident. I need to get my mind off of this, Dr. Lang said not to think too much about this. I pulled out my phone and Airpods. I turned on the Bluetooth and started scrolling through my music to see what playlist I should listen to.
I didn't even hear him appear behind me.
"It's been since sophomore year and you still listen to those girly guys?" I jumped and almost kicked Zachary in the balls. I fucking wish I did.
"What the bloody hell are you doing here?" I yelled at him. Zachary put on the whole innocent act. With his stupid blue puppy dog eyes and his stupid curly hair.
"Can I not just say hi to an old friend?" he said in an innocent tone. Can you smell that? That's the smell of absolute bullshit. I continued glaring at him.
Zachary eyed me up and down.
"It seems like you pierced your ears. That's kind of hot," Zachary said as he reached a hand out for my ear. I swatted it away and grabbed his wrist.
"What. Do. You. Want?! I see how you are with Christina. You're planning something." Zachary looked offended and rolled his eyes.
"Look Damie, I'm just starting fresh. A new slate. Why can't you just give me a chance?" Zachary maneuvered his hand to hold mines. I pulled my hand away and backed away from that psycho.
"I'll never give you a second chance. You know what you did you son of a bitch!" And I sped walked in the opposite direction. I wasn't going to lead that yandere to my house.
I need to tell someone.
A/N: Sorry that chapter was shorter than the usual 1000+ words. But the story is getting more intriguing ;3
