kelani is a 16 year old girl that lives in canada ottawa. she goes to a very dangerous school where there are gangs everywhere and people getting hurt. she lives with her toxic single mother. soon after her father died everything fell apart, her mother began to act a lot different. she's been through hell and back with her toxic ex. she has had many fake friends.

mar is a 17 year old from canada ottawa. he is a popular creator on tik tok. mar is the leader of the most dangerous gang in the city and he runs every highschool. everyone is scared of him because of what he can do. he never settles for a girl and plays every single one. he's a fuckboy but every girl falls for him because he's very attractive, they always end up getting heart broken. mariano doesn't take shit from anybody and he isn't scared of anything, when he says he's gonna do something he will do it.

sophie is kelani's bestfriend. she can sometimes be fake but she's all that kelani has. kelani has always been there for sophie but she has never returned the favour. they have a pretty toxic friendship and sophie puts her down a lot. sophie is jealous of kelani's looks and she had the biggest crush on mar since the 8th grade.
