Unexpected (Taekook)

Chapter 7

There was strained silence at the dinning table during breakfast.

"Isn't Jungkook coming down for breakfast"

"His door is locked up and he won't open up"Soyoon said lowely.She had been getting attached to Jungkook over the past few days

Taehyung just shrugged and played it cool as if he didn't know anything about it.

"Is everything ok?"

"Why don't you ask your son?"Soyoon said without looking at her brother.

Taehyung stopped eating and glared at her"What did I do to him"he felt irked.

"You think I didn't hear you lashing out at him last night because he had accidentally triggered your allergic reaction.I hadn't gone anywhere. I heard everything you said to him"

"Taehyung is this true?"Mrs Kim asked critically

"Jungkook is really a kind and caring person.If he had by any chance known that you were allergic to soya then he would have never made you drink it.If he leaves because of you then I won't ever forgive you"

"Taehyung ,I need you to realize the importance of Jungkook in your life. Don't ever take him for granted.If he leaves then will you be able to take care of Minwoo alone?"

"He was just messing with you oppa.Even you know that he didn't mean to hurt you."Soyoon said.

"He cares about everyone in this house.Do you know that he set a reminder for me to take my medication. I had never thought about it before . Now I never miss taking any of my B.P meds.Do you know that he helps your sister with business ideas.That child  is an MBA degree holder . Instead of working he is taking care of your child yet you treat him like that.He deserves better.I hope from now on you won't have any problem with him ever again.For now I want you to go and bring him down. I don't know what you have to do"

Taehyung's jaw clenched and so did his fists.He was already late for work because he had to listen to a lecture from his mother as well as his sister.And now he had to deal with the new drama queen in his life.He had never felt so attacked before.Never in his entire life.

He knocked for the first five minutes and got ignored.

"Jungkook , open the door.Lets talk"he yelled.

"Just go away"a weak voice from the inside yelled threadly.

At the same time Minwoo woke up.Jungkook needed to go to him but he wouldn't do so without passing through Taehyung first.The nanny also came running for him.She and Jungkook shared the same baby monitor.

"You are going to have to come out soon or later."

Jungkook opened the door instantly"What do you want.Are you here to threaten me some more.Is there something you forgot to say to me"

"Come downstairs with me"he clasped the younger's forarm.

"I don't want to go anywhere with you.Minwoo is waiting for me"he tried to reason.

"His nanny is with him.Now come on"Taehyung had resorted to dragging the younger through the two sets of stairs.

When they got downstairs Taehyung shoved Jungkook into his seat besides him .

"Eat up"he demanded.

"I'm not hungry"he whispered.

"Jungkook, you have to eat dear"Mrs Kim implored.

"I have something to say"he said instead.

"Sure, please go ahead"

"I think coming here was a bad idea.Obviously I make Taehyung uncomfortable."he looked down and then turned to Taehyung"I apologise again for what I did yesterday. I thought I was just messing with you. I really didn't know that it would turn out that way.Trust me I would never want to hurt anyone on purpose"he was already sobbing without realizing it.Unable to face anyone else he ran back upstairs.

All eyes were back on Taehyung again."I'm going to work.

"Not until you go up there and apologize for being a jerk"

He racked an agitated  hand through his brown hair.This was definitely not his day.He knew he had to do what a man has to do.Apologize if when you know you weren't the one who is wrong.Thats how you keep the peace.

Jungkook was dressing up Blue after the nanny had given him a bath.

"Is his bottle ready?"he asked her.

"It is"she confirmed.

"Can you go and get it for me.I will feed him here"

"Ok"he nodded and then left.

Once Minwoo was all dressed up Jungkook placed him down on the carpet since he had now learnt how to sit and in the next couple of weeks he would probably be crawling.

Jungkook started picking up stuff that was all over the room.He then realized that he needed to do something about his plain white walls.

Taehyung wordlessly came in and picked up his son from the carpet.

"Blue , what color should we paint your room?"Jungkook asked absent mindedly.

"Blue"a voice ansewered for him.

Jungkook was taken aback by the voice and turned away from the wall.

"I didn't ask you"he bit out.

The nanny came in with the warm bottle for baby Blue.

"There you go sir"she gave Jungkook the bottle.

"Are you going to feed him or should I ?"Jungkook asked.

"You feed him"Taehyung said nonchalantly ad he strode across the room to give Jungkook the baby.He sat down on the rocking chair and fed the infant.

"I came to apologise "Taehyung looked down at his intertwined fingers.All of a sudden he starting feeling ashamed.

"Why would you need to apologise. I'm the one who tricked so why should you be the one to apologise"

"It's not only about that.Its actually a lot of stuff"

"Like being ignorant and giving me attitude?"

"Yeah that"Taehyung had to shred every last bit of self respect he had to make himself apologize.

"Did your mother sent you here? Because this apology seems  forced"he scolwed.

"You are right.She made me but I'm also someone with a human conscience. I do make mistake like the one I made last night"

"Well I have been threatened before.Nothing new.However I will choose to hid your words. I will stay away from you and very soon I will leave.This place isn't my home and I just got reminded of that yesterday"

"So that means you won't forgive me.Ever"he asked softly

"I forgive you"he confirmed.It would be an insult to Taehyung's intelligent to expect him to buy that.

"You obviously didn't.When you forgive someone you forget everything and don't hold grudges and that's exactly what you are doing"

"Are you into philosophy?"Jungkook smiled when he saw that Minwoo was playing with his toes and waving his chubby legs while having his formula.

"Are you into jokes as this crucial moment"Ever since Jungkook had come along Taehyung had come to a realisation that he was talking more than necessary.He had always been lazy about talking let alone fight with anyone.

"Burp him"Jungkook said to Taehyung after Minwoo had finished his bottle.
