"Oh ye pretty little lasses, run back now to yer pretty little houses.
Wind's getting colder and birds go hide amongst their feathers.
Don't ye go dilly dally playin with those flowers on yer heads.
The old dark shadows might snatch ye behind yer backs.
Get home and quickly rush to beds."﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌
"It ees a bit weird that the song actually fits our current state, eh? Or ye just sang that to scare mae?" A woman with heavily scottish accent asked, as her pale fingers brushed though her companion's thick blond locks.
A soft giggle erupted from said companion. It was melodious and could easily baited others to laugh as well.
"Oh pish posh, Merida. I know quite well that you're one whom can't be easily scared to. It would be a futile effort to do so anyway," the other woman replied, continuing humming her childhood's folklore song.
"Aye, yer right. The only thing Am scared to ees me mum. She's makin' ma heid all scrambled with dis whole marriage 'preparations'." She had succesfully smoothed down every tangled locks of her companion's by now. Her eyes wandered toward the warmly orange tinted sky. It was almost evening, that could only meant she had been working on her friend's hair for almost 2 hours. No wonder her back was aching. It was funny how she, Merida DunBroch, who was known for her spectacular abilities in the outdoor activities area, could get her muscle sprained only by combing her friend's ridiculously long hair.
"Based on how those preparations are right now as well as those endless studies you've been through, I'm confident you'll do splendidly and make your parents proud," Rapunzel Corona said encouragely. "Besides, I for one, can't wait to finally be your official sister! Imagine me being your older sister, how tremenduously fantastic is that?" The flower crown she was making almost gone askew at how excited she was. Merida couldn't help but to chuckle at the sight.
"Ye sure Am not the older one? After all, we're only twew years apart, lass. And ye still need mae ta ask the guard fer something 'cause yer afraid of lads." Merida teased, in all honesty, she didn't mind helping Rapunzel. The supposedly older girl was very shy around men, she wasn't that good at socialisizing in the first place. It was because she was raised secludedly in her castle since little. When Merida asked her parents why, they only said it was for protection.
"But, from what?" she remembered asking further, but her mum and dad only shook their heads in the same puzzlement as hers. That was why, since she became friends with Rapunzel, she had vowed to herself to assist the shy princess in any way.
"Hey! Who's the one who needs to be awaken to before her mum came to wake her up herself? And for the record, I can talk to men easily now." Rapunzel bragged proudly with nose up high. It was true. Right after her 18th birthday, her step mother, the Queen Dowager of Oriana, had granted her the freedom to finally 'embrace' the world. Although she still had many restrictions and could only go out around the town near the castle, Merida still thought it was a lot better than being caged like a bird.
"Am honestly proud of ye, Rapunzel," the red haired princess said genuinely, before her smile turned into a wicked smirk. She was laying on the grass now, enjoying the feel of mother nature surrounding them. With red and orange leaves flying alongside the cold wind, bringing news to the world that the season of snow would be coming soon. "And Am guessin' a certain lad had helped ye with yer problem, aye?"
As if she had been out under the scorching summer sun–particulary, Oriana's sun–for hours, Rapunzel's pretty face went ablaze. Merida would've laugh at it if she hadn't been closing her eyes. "W-whatever do you mean? I don't think I understand what you're saying." The way she tried to hide the truth never failed to amuse Merida. The lass was never one to lie in the first place.
