JIMIN POV
11pm

I can't believe it. My father has always threatened me like this, but this time it was really serious. When he said all those things about Hyojin, for the first time in my life I thought I had done something right in his eyes. Won him over. Seen him as an actual father and not a businessman. I've really lost him this time, just like I lost mom. How can he say that to me? Isn't he hurting as well?

I drag my feet into the apartment, hearing Hyojin close the door behind me. I take off my coat and hang it on the kitchen stool and move to my room soullessly when a light hand on my shoulder stops me. I turn around and meet her beautiful eyes, looking up at me trying to mirror my emotions.

"Hey..."

I can't take it anymore.

Before she can see me break down in tears I pull her close to me, wrapping my arms around her. I just need someone right now. I want to be okay, but after today I don't think I can be anytime soon. Only she has ever seen me cry like this, no one else. I break into a full sob, tears staining her shirt now. She doesn't say anything, just holds me tighter. Only in her arms do I feel safe at this moment.

"We'll work through it, okay? I'm with you all the way. For now you should rest," she tells me, her voice soothing me effortlessly. I breathe out deeply, acknowledging her words. As we lay on the bed, she pulls me close to her, stroking my hair gently.

"It'll be okay soon, never give up hope, Jimin." With that, I drift away from reality and into the comfort of her embrace.

HYOJIN POV
Friday, 3pm

The past few days I've been spending majority of my time job scouting. After all our major assignments had been handed in, the university went on a 1 month holiday. Hence I have more time to help Jimin get his life back on track. After a while, I find a perfect job scope in the newspaper.

Help wanted:

Myeongjang Bakery & Cafe

Patisserie/Cashier/Interior Designer

9000KRW per hour

9000? That's higher than minimum wage. The pay doesn't seem too bad and it's right up my alley. I quickly give them a call and book an interview at 4. Jimin's paid monthly, but he hardly has classes every day. It'll be good to have another source of income to keep stable. I pick up my winter coat and leave the apartment when I see Jimin just stepping in, back from work.

"Oh, Hyojin-ah. Whe-where are you going?" He tilts his head at me, confused.

I pick up my purse and sling it over my shoulder. "I got a job interview at Myeongjang Bakery. I won't be long," I flash a quick smile at him. I'm about to leave when he grabs my wrist, spinning me around.
