~ It's complicated ~

~ What You Staring At Blondie ~

I was watching the waves crash onto the shore in the distance, enjoying the light breeze as it rippled through my hair. I smiled to myself as I let my eyes fall shut, sighing softly as I breathed in the faint smell of saltwater. 'Earth to Malia.', I was pulled from my thoughts as a familiar voice called my name, I turned to my brother with a small smile 'Yes Johnny?'.

'Do you ever listen to me when I talk?' He questioned and I shrugged 'Only when you have something useful to say' I teased and he rolled his eyes with a small grin. I stood up and walked along the roof beam, gracefully performing a back walkover and a cartwheel as I went, totally not showing off.

'Be careful Marley' Pope spoke from the floor and I smiled at his concern, 'I'm fine Pope, have a little faith' I mused and he shook his head with a smile. 'What you staring at Blondie' I teased as I looked over at JJ who had been watching my little performance, 'I think you'll find I'm watching the sunset, don't be so vain' he joked and I stuck my tongue out at him.

'They're gonna have Japanese toilets with towel warmers' Kiara said as she came back from exploring the house. I sat back down and smiled at my friend as she passionately ranted to Pope about how our environment is being destroyed. John B came and sat next to me and gave my shoulder a small nudge, I smiled as we both watched our friends laugh with each other, friends who had turned into family.

'Hey, uh security is here' Pope said as me and John B quickly slid off the roof and scrambled down the scaffolding. We all took off running through the house,
'Hey Gary is that you? good to see you man' JJ teased and I grabbed his arm as he almost ran straight into Gary. JJ and I quickly ran outside, hopping over the fence and heading towards Kie and John B who came speeding round the corner in our van.

Pope jumped in and quickly grabbed my hand and pulled me into the van, JJ jumping in after me. I laughed as JJ fell into Pope as John B took a very tight corner, Kie put her head on my shoulder as we headed back to The Cut and I looked at the window watching the island zoom by.

Well, I feel like some introductions are needed now:

John B is my older brother, my best friend, and he means the whole world to me. We're twins but apparently those 7 minutes he was in the world before me, make John B in charge, even though I'd argue I'm definitely more responsible.

Kiara is my favourite girl in the world, she is kind, passionate, funny, and an amazing friend. She's technically a Kook but where it matters she's a pogue through and through.

Pope is the smartest person I know, he has always been there for me and I guess I have a bit of a soft spot for him and his family, his Dad has always treated me as his own which is something I will always be grateful for.

JJ is an idiot to put it simply. We are polar opposites and always have been, but I guess that's why we work so well. JJ is my oldest friend and despite him being a continual pain in the ass, he is a very important part of my life and I don't know what I'd do without him.
