Malia POV

After being turned down when we tried to report the boat, we decided we might as well head to the motel and find out more. We docked up and JJ and John B jumped out, I got up and went to follow but Pope grabbed my wrist 'don't do anything stupid Mars'. I smirked and then winked 'can't promise anything. Besides since when do I do anything stupid' I said as I proceeded to almost fall off the boat. 'That never happened' I said as Pope shook his head and tried not to laugh before I jogged to catch up with the boys.

'woah, who said you were joining' John B said as he saw me coming up behind them, ' I did, now move' I said as moved in front of them and JJ chuckled. 'Just be so careful John' JJ mimicked Ki as he grabbed Johnny's face, 'God you're so weird' John B said pulling away from him, I laughed at the boys behaviour. 'Ever since she's heard you've been threatened with exile she has been all, be so careful John B when you gonna give me that John D already. when you gonna swoop on that man' JJ dramatised as I cringed slightly at the thought of John B and Kiara together.

'you know the rule no pogue on pogue macking, besides you're the one who is always hitting on her' John B said . 'Of course I'm hitting on her, she's a super hot, rich hippie chick who's slumming it with us', I cleared my throat slightly 'I think the no pogue on pogue rule is stupid anyway' I said as I looked down to the boat where Pope was sat throwing some rocks into the marsh.

Before either of them could reply I stopped at a door, 'its this one' I said , JJ knocked on the door and put on a high pitched voice 'housekeeping'. I rolled my eyes and he shrugged. 'should we go in?' John B asked as he fiddled with the key, I rolled my eyes at how long he was taking so I moved him out of the way and kicked the door which flung open.

I smirked sarcastically at Johnny, 'wow subtle M' he said as I walked in, 'that was hot' I heard JJ whisper  to himself ' dude seriously she's my sister' John B said smacking the back of JJ's head. We looked around the room and I headed into the bathroom, there was nothing in there so I turned around but was met by JJ's chest 'Jesus JJ you scared me' I said looking at him, I went to step round him but he caught my wrist 'Malia I-' he started to speak 'yeah' I encouraged with a smile but he shook his head 'never mind', I nodded slowly, confused as to what just happened.

After John B and JJ messed around with the safe, they opened it to find a gun which of course JJ picked up and started to mess around with. 'would you put that back J, you twat' I said as flicked his head and he pouted, I heard a noise on the window so I opened the curtains to see pope and ki mouthing 'cops' and we panicked, 'the window, get out' I said as I opened the window and pushed John B and JJ out before I followed. I didn't realise how thin the ledge was as I slipped but before I could fall JJ grabbed my waist and pressed me against him as I gripped his hands out of fear.

Johnny was looking inside before JJ shifted his weight and the gun fell out of his pocket, hitting my bad leg on its way down, it banged against the roof 'fuck' I whisper yelled as my leg felt as if it was on fire. JJ grabbed my hand tighter and whispered a 'sorry' as he felt me tense in pain, as soon as the cops were gone we climbed back inside. I limped towards the boat, refusing to let JJ carry me, mostly due to stubbornness.

When we were back on the boat I started to feel dizzy and so sat down with my head in my hands, taking deep breaths as the others conversed. I stood up and everything went blurry 'Guys, Marley doesn't look too good' Kie spoke and I shook my head 'I'm fine...' I spoke before my legs gave out and I fell. I expected to hit the boat but I felt a pair of arms grab me and I was soon picked up and placed onto someone's lap. I opened my eyes slightly to see Pope had been the one to grab me and I smiled softly before letting my eyes shut again as I leant against his chest.

I slept the whole boat ride home and Pope insisted on walking me home, while the others stayed out for a while. When we got back to my house I opened the door and smiled at Pope, 'do you wanna come in? I've got no power but we can just talk for a while if you want?' I asked, suddenly becoming very aware of how quickly my heart was going. 'Ye-yeah I'd like that' he stuttered and I smiled as he followed me inside.

We headed into my room and I sat on my bed, 'I've always loved your room' Pope spoke and I laughed softly 'why?' I asked and he smiled as he continued to look around my room. 'Because it was always just so you. The plants, the books, just everything in here is a bit of you' he mused and my heart swelled.

We ended up speaking for hours, about anything and everything, we were laying down on my bed staring at the ceiling, I turned to look at him and he smiled at me 'you've got one of those smiles that makes other people smile you know' I said and Pope blushed immediately which made me smile widely and let out a small giggle.

I was now aware of how close we were, our fingers kept brushing past each other's and I took the risk and laced my fingers through his. Pope rolled onto his side and I looked into his brown eyes, 'I think you're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen' he whispered as his eyes roamed over my face. I let out a soft gasp and before I knew what was happening our lips were connected. We parted slightly, noses still touching 'Was that okay?' He asked quietly and I smiled 'More than okay' I said as I put my lips back on his.

I lightly pushed Pope's back onto the mattress as I climbed on top of him, his hands immediately finding my hips as we didn't break the kiss. He groaned slightly as I ran my hand down his chest, but suddenly the front door opened 'Yo M' John B yelled and I quickly jumped off Pope. 'Shit shit shit' Pope said as we began to straighten out or clothes and I smoothed down my hair. 'The window the window' I rushed out and he nodded before climbing out of my window and rushing away, not before turning around and whispering a 'bye' with a smile.

John B knocked and walked into my room as I just about slowed my heart rate 'hey, you feeling better now?' He asked and I nodded 'yeah I had a nap and now I'm feeling much better' I lied, he nodded with a smile 'want to get some food?' He asked and I nodded as I followed him out my room, trying to comprehend what just happened.

After deciding we needed to lay low and act normal we decided to have a kegger. I started off with only a few pogues but then the tourons and kooks arrived. Now, as much as I am fully pogue I happen to be friends with some of the kooks, Sarah Cameron and Topper happen to be two of my close friends. I hung out with the pogues for most of the night until I saw Sarah stood on a fallen beach tower and decided to say hi.

I ran over just as Topper had got her down, 'Hey princess' I called as she ran over and hugged me and I giggled as she did, 'hey T' I said saluting him, 'hey Marley' he said pulling me in for a hug. Now don't get me wrong Topper can be an absolute dick but his family has never done anything but be kind to me so I have a lot of respect for them and I seem to be the only pogue not hated by them.

We sat and chatted for a while before we headed back to the main area of the boneyard. I was sat next to Pope, our legs touching and his arm rested subtly on my back, I was enjoying the small acts of affection from him, knowing that my growing feelings for him weren't one-sided.

I had just grabbed another beer for me, Ki and some tourons before I saw Topper punch John B 'shit' I said jumping up and running over, I heard Sarah screaming at Topper to stop and I joined in. I tried to pull Topper off of him but he pushed me back and I scraped my cheek on a rock but quickly got back up only to see Topper drowning John B.

But before I could help him I heard a gun cock and my eyes widened as JJ held a gun to Topper's head. 'JJ put the gun down' I heard Sarah scream and tears filled my eyes, I stood up and walked towards Sarah, 'Okay everyone listen up, get the hell off our side of the island' JJ shouted as he shot two bullets into the sky, 'JJ!!' I screamed and he turned around and pointed the gun at me, the barrel practically touching my chest. I looked at him, my heart breaking at the fact he just pointed a gun straight at me. 'Marley I-' he started as he lowered the gun 'save it' I snapped as I turned away and ran after Sarah who was waiting for me.

For the first time in my life I was scared of JJ.
