It's been a week since I first changed.  I haven't killed anyone again but Jeff is trying to tell me that I need to.

"Harper you have to kill!"  Jeff was towering over me.  My body was tired and I didn't even want to fight him right now.

"Jeff I'm not in the mood to fight with you"  My own voice sounded weak in my ears.

"You wouldn't be feeling this way if you would listen to me"

Crossing my arms not bothering to look at him.

I don't want to have to kill all the time.  I don't want to feel like some wild beast who can't be controlled.  But I guess that was the human part still in me.

"Harper please?" His quiet voice caught my attention.  Looking at him, I could see the stress in his eyes.  I knew he was trying to help.  But he can't help my internal battle with myself.  "Just fucking go kill someone!  I can feel our body getting weaker everyday!"  The little voice in my head has been quite persistent.   Jeff told me it would stop if I went out and fed/killed someone.

I felt a pair of warm hands on my face, bringing me out of my thoughts.

"Please Harper? I can't bare to see you like this.  I can see it in your eyes, they've become dull, and frankly, it's scaring the shit out of me"

I continued to stare up at Jeff, forcing a short nod to show my compliance.

I quickly changed into some black sweat pants and a white t-shirt.  I slipped on some shoes and waited by the door for Jeff.

When Jeff was ready he was wearing a black hoodie, I felt bad that I had ripped up his to the point he couldn't wear it anymore.  Jeff opened the door and I was welcomed with a gust of chilled summer air.  It was about midnight, the moon was absolutely gorgeous.

We walked hand-in-hand forever it felt like until we came to a road.  There was a sign across the road telling us there was a small county about 2 miles away.  We walked until we noticed buildings coming into vision.  There was a small clock tower at the corner of the street, telling me it was 3am now.

"Do you want to do this together or meet at the clock tower when we're done" Jeff asked politely, it didn't seem to matter to him which way I answered.

"You go ahead and do your thing, we can meet back here when we're done" Smiling up at him, I felt my adrenaline rising from excitement.

"Alright, let's try to be back here no later than an hour?" I nodded, but wondered how I would know when my hour was up.

With fast movement, I felt something clasp around my wrist.  It was a small white and gold watch, nothing too flashy, it was perfect.  Looking up at Jeff wondering how long he's had this.

"I've had for years, I always liked it so I kept it in a kitchen drawer, and I figure your gonna need a watch if I'm not with you to tell you what time it is.  Soon you'll be able to know what time it is without it"  Jeff looked away, seeming embarrassed he had given me a gift.

"Thank you" Smiling up at him and kissing his cheek lightly.

"You need to make sure your quiet, now that we're in public you need to be more careful"  I nodded looking around the empty town, there were a few people walking around, but it was mostly dead around here.

We each went opposite ways, trying to decide who shall be our victim.  I walked up the quiet sidewalk, keeping my hands in my pocket and my head low.  The sound of music was catching my attention, looking ahead was a small bar with a few people smoking outside in front of it.
