"Just call me if you need anything or decide you don't want to stay. Okay?" Lea's mom kissed her forehead and hugged her tight.

Lea laughed, "Okay mom, I got it the first twenty times you told me."

"Okay sweetheart. I'll miss you so much," her eyes started to tear up," My baby is leaving me."

"Mom it's only two weeks, I'll be back before you know it."

"Okay, okay. Just go before I start crying up a storm," she sniffled and hugged Lea again. Lea grabbed her bags and stepped onto the bus. There weren't a lot of girls on the bus. Maybe fifteen, max. She expected a lot more girls to be there. Easy money for just two weeks, and in the paper they said you only had to work three hours a day and you got to do whatever you wanted the rest of the day. Oh well.

She waved to her mom from the window as the bus as it drove away, leaving her mom and home behind. She watched her mom, still standing on the sidewalk, until she turned into just a tiny speck, barely visible... gone.
