Lea was awakened by the sound of the bus coming to a stop. The brakes screeching loudly. She sat up in her seat, rubbed her eyes and looked out the window. This place didn't look like a summer camp at all. It was huge and castle-like, with about six different buildings and a giant porcelain fountain in the middle of an oversized garden. The buildings themselves were a light shade of gray with navy blue roofs and doors. Each building was about four stories high. Lea was amazed.
She slowly stood up from her seat and grabbed her bags. She only had a few. In the article, it said everyone would be provided with a washing machine and dryer in their "dorms", so she had only packed around 5 outfits.
Lea stepped off of the bus and onto the gravel. She gazed around the place as she walked to the gate where the rest of the girls were waiting. The gates slowly creaked open, letting the girls in. As soon as Lea stepped through the threshold, she felt an overwhelming sense of fear. She shuddered. She looked around to the other girls to see if anyone else was feeling it too. She couldn't really tell. Everyone was acting normal.
There was a small building that everyone had to walk through before getting to the camp. When it was her turn to go, she slowly stepped into the building alone, closing the door behind her.
Inside, the building was filled with navy blue file cabinets and the walls were painted the same shade of gray as the other buildings. She looked around for about a minute until she heard someone clear their throat from behind her. She swiveled around to face the source. It was a boy who looked around 17. She couldn't see his face very well, he was sitting down casually, looking down at a clipboard.
"Sit," the boy pointed to a chair across from him. Lea sat down without saying anything. She tried to see what his face looked like without being too obvious. Nothing. "First time being here?" three boy asked, still looking down at his clipboard.
"Uh... yeah," Lea replied nervously.
"Name, please."
"Lea Madrin."
"Allergies?"
"Nope, none."
The boy finally looked up from the clipboard. His eyes were deep green, his lips were thin and a light shade of pink, his hair covered part of his forehead. "By the way, I'm Hunter."
"Uh-I-..." Lea trailed off and felt her cheeks get hot.
Hunter laughed. It was a low chuckle. "See you around? Lea?"
"Um... yeah... sure," Lea smiled as she picked up her bags and started walking toward the door. She felt Hunter grab two of her bags from her hand and opened the door for her. Lea felt herself blushing again and smiled. "Thanks."
"No problem," Hunter smiled and handed her her bags as she walked away.
