Lyriq and Isaac are currently hanging out in a card shop. Lyriq is teaching Isaac some dueling strategies when the television turns on.
Anouncer: Coming to you live, as KC Joyner, dueling prodigy, has just been challenge by Rick Logan!
Lyriq: Looks like your old teacher wants to get humiliated.
Isaac: I don't know... Rick is pretty strong...
Lyriq: Really now?
--at school--
KC: You really want to duel me?
Rick: Yeah! I'm tired of being your lackey!
KC frowns as he shakes his head.
KC: Very well.
Both: Duel! Confirm!
Rick: I'll start things off!
Rick: 8000 hand-5
KC: 8000 hand-5
Rick: I summon my Scrap Recycler. He lets me send my Machina Fortress to the graveyard!
A card comes out of Rick's deck into a bin that the small machine is holding.
Rick: I discard Machina Citadel, to summon Machina Irradiator! Irradiator's effect now allows me to destroy him, and revive Machina Fortress!
Irradiator blows up and Machina Fortress comes out.
Rick: Because a Machina monster was destroyed, I can now revive my Machina Citadel! I set a card and end my turn!
KC: Draw.
Rick: 8000 hand-1
KC: 8000 hand-6
KC: I summon Dverg of the Nordic Alfar. Using him I Link summon. Gullveig of the Nordic Ascendant.
A woman with long, orange hair appears. She spin her staff and winks.
Rick: Nice try, but I've been studying you, and I know your weakness! Machina Citadel's effect! By destroying him, I destroy all monsters you control with less attack then him!
KC: ...
KC is just giving Rick a blank, unimpressed look.
Rick: Impressed?
KC: You need to do more research.
Rick: !?!?
KC: The effect of Dverg, lets me normal summon again. I summon Guldfaxe of the Nordic Beasts. Using him, I summon another Gullveig.
Rick: WHAT!?!?
KC: Now by banishing 3 cards from my hand, I summon from my deck 3 monsters! Svartalf of the Nordic Alfar, Dverg of the Nordic Alfar, Ljosalf of the Nordic Alfar!
The 3 monsters appear and circle each other.
KC: Now I use Svartalf to tune them together! Ruler of mischief and trickster of gods, break from your chains and bring forth Ragnarok!!! Synchro summon! Level 10, Loki, Lord of the Aesir!

Isaac: Woah! So that's one of KC's Nordic Gods!
Lyriq: Yep. Those things are terrifying.
Isaac: What do you mean?

KC: Battle. Loki, attack his Fortress!
