Dark Magic

Lyriq and Isaac are walking to school, when they are suddenly stopped by an old friend of Lyriq's.

Ian: Hey Lyriq! How's it going?

Lyriq: Ian? Since when do you go to this school?

Ian explains that he recently transferred and had a duel with KC. He dealt some good damage, but still lost.

Isaac: Wow! So you're a duelist!?

Ian: Yep. I was #1 at my old school. Lyriq taught me.

Isaac: So, you're his other student? Then how about a duel?

Ian: Sure, why not?

They all walked to a field and a small group of students gathered.

Both: Duel! Confirm!

Ian: I will go first if you don't mind.

Isaac: 8000 hand-5

Ian: 8000 hand-5

Ian: I will begin by activating Pot of Duality. I look at the top 3 cards of my deck and add 1 of them to my hand.

Ian selects a card and his deck is shuffled.

Ian: Now I activate the Dark Magical Circle. It lets me add 1 of the top  3 cards of my deck to my hand. I add my Magician Navigation. I set 3 cards and end my turn.

Isaac: Draw!

Isaac: 8000 hand-6

Ian: 8000 hand-2

Isaac: I'll start by activating Destiny Draw! I discard my Destiny HERO Decider, to draw 2 cards!

Lyriq looks at Isaac, as well as Ian, and decides to give them a test.

Lyriq: Hey guys! Go all out okay!

They both nod and the duel continues.

Isaac: Now I activate Over Destiny, to special summon my Destiny HERO Celestial! I'm not done though, because I summon my Elemental HERO Blazeman! His effect lets me add a Polymerization directly to my hand!

His monsters appear and Isaac adds Polymerization to his hand. He gives Lyriq a thumbs up before continuing.

Isaac: Now I will use these 2, to Link summon! Appear, Xtra HERO Wonder Driver!

Lyriq: You got this Isaac, just finish the combo!

Ian: ...

Lyriq continues to give Isaac encouragement as Ian begins to form a smile.

Isaac: Now I activate Reinforcement of the Army, adding Destiny HERO Drilldark to my hand. The stage is set, I activate the spell card, Polymerization! Fusing my Celestial and my Drilldark together! With the help of this next monster, your fate is about to take a terrifying turn for the worst! I fusion Summon! Level 8, Destiny HERO Dystopia!

Ian: A Fusion duelist? It's been a while since I've dueled one of them...

Isaac: Dystopia's effect will now inflict 1600 points of damage to you, and Wonder Driver will add Polymerization back to my hand!

Lyriq smiles as Isaac is finally pulling off the combo they've been working on.

Isaac: I now use Polymerization once more! Fusing my Destiny HERO Dystopia, with Destiny HERO Dreamer! Hero of the world of darkness! Hero of the dream world! Now become 1 and rule over the utopia's twilight! Fusion summon! Level 10, come on! Destiny HERO Dusktopia!

As the golden warrior appears, Ian's smile grows wider.

Isaac: Battle. My monsters attack you directly!

Ian suddenly looks up and activates his trap. Magician Navigation.

Ian: My Magician Navigation will stop you! It lets me special summon Dark Magician from my hand, and my Magician of Dark Illusion from the deck! My Circle now activates and banishes your Dusktopia!

Lyriq: !?!?

Ian: I also activate my Eternal Soul, adding a Thousand Knives to my hand.

Isaac: I end my turn.

Ian: Draw...

Isaac: 8000 hand-1

Ian: 6400 hand-2

Ian: I activate Eternal Soul once more! Special summoning the Dark Magician! I overlay Dark Magician and Magician of Dark Illusion, to build the overlay network! The true master of magic reveals himself! His power will crush all foes, Xyz summon! Rank 7, Ebon Illusion Magician! His effect lets me summon another Dark Magician!

Isaac: O-oh.

Ian has almost enough damage to OTK Isaac! This duel seems pretty one sided.

Ian: My Circle will banish your HERO, and my monsters will all attack you! Turn end.

Isaac: Draw.

Isaac: 500 hand-2

Ian: 6400 hand-1

Isaac: I got this! I set a monster and another card, before activating Destiny HERO Celestial's ability, drawing 2 cards!

Ian: pfft.

Ian seems amused at Isaac attempting to make a come back, and doesn't realize that Isaac actually has a chance.

Isaac: I activate Mystical Space Typhoon!

Ian: !?!?

Isaac: I destroy Eternal Soul, and all your Magicians!

Ian: But how did you?

Isaac regains his smile and begins to continue.

Isaac: I activate Monster Reborn! This will allow me to revive Dystopia, and inflict another 1600 points of damage!

Ian: Rrrgh...

Dystopia rises and Ian takes damage.

Isaac: Now Dystopia attacks you directly!

Ian: ACK!

Isaac: I end my turn!

Ian regains his balance and glares at Isaac.

Ian: Draw!

Isaac: 500 hand-0

Ian: 3000 hand-2

Ian: I... End my turn...

Isaac's face lights up and he draws his card.

Isaac: 500 hand-1

Ian: 3000 hand-2

Isaac: I flip summon my Elemental HERO Shadow Mist! She and Dystopia will now attack you directly, and end this duel!

Ian: ...

Isaac: 500 hand-1 WINNER

Ian: -800 hand-2 LOSER

Isaac turns around and lets out a sigh. He is about to go over to Lyriq and Ian, when people start clapping for him.

Students: Great job! What a comeback!

Isaac: Thanks, but I owe it all to Lyriq!

Ian grabs Lyriq and drags him over to Isaac.

Lyriq: I don't wanna!

While this is happening, someone in the crowd isn't cheering.

???: God they're weak, wouldn't you agree Wendi?

A card from the persons deck glows and the person walks off, revealing a short girl with dirty blonde hair and light blue eyes.

--timeskip to next day--

Lyriq: God, I need to get some dueling in. I haven't dueled in a week.

Lyriq is walking alone, he is about to go into school, but he notices someone watching him.

Lyriq: You can come out, Elainna...

Well then, I hope you enjoyed. This chapter was slightly different, but I think that it was a good way to introduce Ian, and Elainna. Either way I hope you liked it. See ya folks.
