Statistics say that only two out of five people will likely meet their soulmates in their lifetime. Generally, you will meet them in your late teens and sometimes early twenties but meeting your soulmate outside that timeframe isn't uncommon. Even so, when you hit your late twenties and still haven't the slightest clue as to who they are... It dampens the mood for a good while. Knowing they're out there but still out of your reach tends to give hope to some but for others it's torture. You can always feel your soulmate. Even if they pass. When they're alive you can feel a warmth inside you, unlike any blanket or heater. You can sense how they're feeling and can even experience their physical pain. It's not as scary as you might think. Say the scrape their knee or trip and hurt their rear, you'll feel a fleeting sensation of soreness and possibly pressure in the area of the injury. It lasts no longer than a few seconds but it can be alarming if you're sleeping and suddenly it feels like someone grabs your elbow because they accidentally hit the wall behind them or something along those lines happens. It is disturbed that when you meet your soulmate the warmth inside you explodes in delight and joy. It brings anyone to tears with the amount of happiness that overcomes them just from locking eyes with your other half. And when they die... They say the warmth becomes cold and hollow. You get a painful chill up your spine and the dread and pure raw sadness wash over you. This partnered with the sensation of the injuries if any is... It's hell on earth. Or so they say. I wouldn't know but just thinking about it makes my chest ache. The cold empty feeling remains for as long as you do. For some, it mellows out its intensity but not for everyone. You'll always feel your soulmate. Even when you reject them.
Oh, you didn't know you could reject your destined? It's usually frowned upon but sometimes you just can't connect with them even if they are meant to complete you. Sometimes they're just not the one you love. Consensual rejection isn't uncommon if both parties wish to live their lives unguided by fate. It's becoming more accepted now with the new generations but there is still a lot of controversy over it. When you reject your soulmate they say the warmth gets warmer and hotter until it burns you. You become weak from the ache in your body and in some cases, blackout. You come down with the flu of sorts that can be treated with normal medication. Your souls are intertwined and you've literally ripped them apart, it's understandable that you come down with something. But even after all of this, you can still feel them. It's not prominent anymore, you have to really pay attention but pieces of the link still remain. Soulmate bonds are tricky, confusing, and fickle things. You could know your soulmate in childhood and not be bonded until adulthood because you just weren't ready to complete each other. You can be bonded to someone and they could be bonded to someone else. You can even have a soulmate from another generation, you go to a museum and you see a picture of a random soldier from a long past war and that soldier is no longer a stranger but the one you're meant to live out your life with. Fate can be so cruel...

Excerpts to Books I'll Never Write
DiversosThis is just a place where I'll be dumping my vent writing or pieces from stories that appear in my head that I, just like the title says, will never write. Feel free to read, this isn't private. I'm putting it here because I'm willing to share. But...
