*Two weeks before Bella left

"Why don't you understand that I'm the one for you, Jacob!?" Evelyn shouts at Jacob who was walking away from her. "I'm your imprint! I'm the one you should be chasing after, not her!" She cries silently. "Why can't you see that?" She whispers.

Jacob clenches his fist and tightens his fists. "It's not right! You're my best friend! You're supposed to be there for me as my friend not as my lover." He shouts, finally facing Evelyn.

"Well can't I be just that? Your friend. Nothing more and nothing less." She says. "I just don't want our friendship to break Jake, you're all I have left."

Jacob walks towards her and engulfs her into a huge hug. "I will always be here for you Eve. I will hate myself if anything were to happen to you." Jacob kisses her temple and Evelyn just snuggles in more.

It's been two weeks, Bella almost ended her life when she fell off the cliff trying to see her vampire ghost. Jacob has been by her side 24/7, he had forgotten about his imprint making him lack even more of energy and control of his wolf.

"You need her Jacob, you've done enough for me already. Go check on Evelyn and make sure she's doing alright, besides I need some time to clean up my room." Bella smiles at Jacob, nodding her head she'll be alright.

Jacob nodded smiling hard, he ran into the woods and quickly shifted into his wolf. He ran and ran until he was finally out in the backyard of Evelyn's house, he shifted back into his human self and almost as if Evelyn knew he was there she looked over her shoulder and smiled.

Quickly placing her book on her bed she walked outside to meet Jacob halfway through. "Hey." She smiles tightly.

"Hi." He answers making her chuckle. "How was your day?" He asks, moving to a table near them and pushing a chair out for her.

She sighs. "I don't want you to be in the dark but I'm moving." She fiddles with her fingers.

Jacob's heart stopped, he tries to suppress his inner wolf whines but he softly whimpers. "What, why?"

Evelyn chuckles. "There's no point of staying here if everyone I love is gone, Jacob. I have a few family members at Beverly Hills, I also found some pretty awesome schools that will give me a career."

"What about me?" He asks softly.

Evelyn just stares at him. "The only reason your here is because Bella forced you to come over and check on me as well to get your energy for your wolf satisfaction. I don't want to be your charger, Jacob." She starts to tear up but she mentally fights it.

"You're my best friend!"

"You're the best friend that you haven't check on unless told so Jacob!" She shouts. "I leave tomorrow, everything has been said and done and I think it's time for you to leave to check on Bella before she throws herself off a cliff, again."

Evelyn wipes her cheeks with the sleeves of her sweater, leaving him shouting after her.

She locks everything up and quickly runs up to her room and lays on her bed thinking.

Is this the right thing?

*Two months later

"That was the most boring movie I saw of all time!" Evelyn laughs with her friends besides her.

"For sure." Olivia, her best friend agrees. "Anyways, I'm heading home to finish up this art project I have, catch you guys later?"

"Yeah!" Evelyn and Asher responded. "Bye! Drive safe, please." Evelyn shouts after her.

Both, Evelyn and Asher continue to walk down until a dark figure stood in the middle of the sidewalk where they were walking.

Evelyn out of instinct put her arm in-front of Asher and another on her hipbone where her switchblade was placed.

"It's been a while," the dark figure spoke, taking off his hoodie.

Jacob Black stood there, bulkier, scruffier, and a lot taller than he used to look. Evelyn's heart dropped but instantly regain control and ran over to him with wide arms open. "Oh, I've missed you!" She cries into him.

"I'm so sorry. I'm an idiot for life and I swear to that, I'm so stupid for letting you go, Eve. I was just so wrapped up about protecting Bella instead of protecting you, my imprint and I swear if I could travel back in time I-"

Evelyn slaps him across the face before smiling and steps into his feet before kissing him. "Shut up." She smiles.
