Alia Springwater groans as she trots up the stairs and into her room, her parents convincing her to take a walkout for some fresh air with her siblings. "Alia, come on sweetie," Her father walks into her room, a small smile lingering on his lips. "All we're asking from you is to walk with your siblings to get to know La Push, just for today, and tomorrow we can all go together, eh?"
Alia furrows her eyebrows, she knew her parents were up to something but as she grew up she knew to never questions unless told so. "Fine." She blurts, standing up from her bed and grabbing a teal sweater. "I'll just walk because I know you got something important to assist."
Her father smiles, "Thank you sweetie."
They both exit her room and walked downstairs into the living room. "Let's go you losers," Alia speaks towards the kitchen.
"Alia," Her mother warns, Alia just rose her hands in defense but winked at her. "Here are the keys and a water bottle, you know how Erin gets when he gets dehydrated." Her mother instructed passing her a water bottle. Her mother smiles at her, making Alia look at her in confusion. "You're going to love La Push, I promise."
Alia just smiles. Erin, her 13-year-old brother grabs her hand before giving his parents a kiss on the cheek. "Don't have too much fun without me," Erin says opening the door and following Alia out the door.
"No promises," Their mother laughs.
The further they left, the more they were worried. "What if he shifts?" Gloria questions her husband beside her, Jeremiah shakes his head before kissing her forehead. "I checked the perimeter before. There's also a pack, Quileute tribe, but they will do no harm towards them, especially Alia."
"And Erin?"
"They will help him, Gloria," Jeremiah grabs his wife's cheeks with both hands making her ease up just a bit. "Alia hasn't shown any sign of being a were. It's most likely she's a dhampir like her grandfather, and if my prediction is correct, she's most likely to be Erin dhampir."
Gloria sighs leaning into her husband's chest. "They're just babies."
Jeremiah laughs, he takes her away from the front door and into the garage. There laid a grey wolf in the middle of the room on a silver looking table strapped in. "Are the chains really necessary?" Gloria asks, "She is my mother Jer." She sighs, grabbing a hold of the wolf's paws.
"You know how it goes Gloria if she's not strapped in than we're both dead."Gloria was about to speak but Jeremiah beat her towards it. "Even, if they're family honey."
--
"So, what do you think they're doing now?" Erin asks his older sister who was just humming. Alia looks down at her brother and shrugs. Erin nods before speaking, "I think they're trying to find a cure for mamagrands."
Alia scoffs. "What makes you think that?"
"I heard they talking," Erin says. "Mom and dad were speaking on the phone with Dr. Cullen asking for an equation in a scientific manner?" He says but questions it. "I don't know, but they did speak about mamagrands condition."
Alia looks down at her brother with a brow raised. "You know, it's not nice to eavesdrop on a conversation, right?"
Erin shrugs, he grabs a hold of Alia's hand as he feels his muscles tightening. He stops walking making Alia pulled back, "I don't feel really good." He moans, holding onto his stomach. Alia grabs the water bottle, opens it, and places it on his lips. She grabs hold oh his hands hands before hissing, "Dude, you're burning."
"I-" Before Erin could say anything they heard a low growl coming from the trees beside them, the trees was covered between huge bushes and a few flowers peeking through. "What was that?" Erin asks, tightening his hold on Alia.
Alia without fear tighten her hold on Erin and marched into the woods. "What are you doing?!" Erin screeches, trying to loosen his hold on her, "Have you not been listening to me? Places like the dark, foggy, and the most basic thing, the woods, cannot be walked into."
Alia tries to speak but before she could get a word out a deep rusty-brown fur wolf walks out, its yellow eyes glowing through the trees. She falls. "Run, Erin. Run." Alia's voice trembles, she backs up into a tree. "Run Erin, run home!" She yells.
Inside the deep rusty-brown fur wolf, was a 17-year-old boy named Jacob Black. He was frightening, but as he approached more towards Alia he knew, he has found his imprint. He softly whines making Alia stop quivering. Alia at this moment felt useless, she felt fear she always envied, without thinking she grabbed the closest branch and swung it towards the wolf.
Jacob gently growls as he feels his jaw healing up from the hit. Alia, again grabbing the branch swung it even harder making Jacob being thrown into a tree nearby. Taking the chance, Alia quickly sprung to her feet and speed away from the whimpering wolf, she didn't look back as she tried to reach for her brother and making sure he's doing fine.
"Open the door!" Alia shouts as she's almost near her house. "Erin!" She shouts again. "Open the door, please!"
Erin quickly sprung towards the door and ran out, his breathing and body quickly raging in fire. Gloria and Jeremiah quickly ran towards their hunting gears and ran after them, "I thought you checked the perimeter!" Gloria snaps at her husband.
"I did! It must be a new wolf of a sort, it doesn't matter now, Erin is in the middle of shifting and Alia is quickly gaining her dhampir power. Let's just go." Jeremiah grabs Gloria's hand and quickly runs towards the direction their kids lead at. "Let's just hope Erin doesn't kill Alia."
Erin had completely shifted into his wolf form, he had silver fur and a black streak on his narrow nose. Alia seeing the full transformation stood across Erin with her mouth agape, she without realizing her arms were covering in black veins and a mark was being marked on her nape making her hiss.
The rusty-brown fur wolf suddenly abrupted from the trees and stood his stance in front of Alia. Alia seeing the stance the rusty-brown fur wolf was, quickly tighten her fist and without thinking she speed into him and flipped him over her, she now standing in a protective mode in front of Erin. "Back off," She hisses. "Show yourself and there will be no more bloodbath,"
Jacob's wolf whimpers but strutted towards a near tree and shifted into his original form. Coming out of the tree, he hesitantly chuckles staring at his imprint. "You know, most people will freak for seeing and a boy transform itself into an animal, but I'm surprised you're defending it."
Alia frowns, she felt a tug towards him and she was not liking the feeling. "He's my brother, even as an animal, he's family."
"Alia! Erin!" Gloria and Jeremiah quickly got out of their vehicle and ran towards them. "Mom, hold up," Alia warns her but she was already hugging the silver wolf.
"How?-" She asks her dad.
"We've been known honey, you're destined to protect for those defenseless and the personal dhampir of Erin."
