I woke up and checked the time on my phone that read 9:47 am. I rolled my eyes before slipping out of the bed and going to the bathroom.

After I got ready, I walked back in the room and saw Kay waking up. She held her arms up like she wanted me to pick her up so I did.

"Goodmorning Rife" She smiled at me.

I smiled back. It's crazy how she can still look this good when she first wakes up.

We brushed our teeth and she kicked me out because she was finna get in the shower. I checked my phone to see my dad had texted me.

Pops: Yall coming today right?

Me: Yeah. What time it start?

Pop: 2

Me: Aight, we'll be there.

After that, I decided to go take a shower in the guest bathroom.

I got out the shower finally and put my towel on, walking out singing. I went to my closet to get some clothes and when I turned around, I saw Sharife fully dressed sitting on the bed. I bit my lip at his attire. It was something simple, a white tee and some sweats with some white air forces... but damn.

"Gon get ready. The cookout start at 2."

I looked at the time that now read 10:38.

I went back to the bathroom, putting my clothes on, earrings, perfume before walking out. I out my shoes on and then walked up to him.

11:04 am

"You ready?" He asked me, pulling me towards him by my waist.

"Mhm." I hummed, grabbing my charger and putting it in my bag.

I got in the car and he pulled off.

"So Sharife..." I started

"Wassup?" He asked, focused on the road.

I started to say something but I yawned.

"Take a nap, we got some time."

I nodded, reclining my seat back as Rife gave me one of his jackets from the backseat to use as a blanket.

We pulled up to his aunt's house and a bunch of people was already there and here comes my social anxiety.

I saw Omar and Des making their way over to the car, Des dragging Omar.

"Kay guess what!"

"What?"

"I met new people!"

"Oh my Godddd yesss finally."

She squealed as she said hi to Sharife and then she was dragging Omar back.

"They should date."
