CHAPTER 8 - Letting him get closer

Harley sighs.

His friends kept on bickering on who the mystery lady is. Harith smirked devilishly to Harley who in return gave a glare

It was true that He has feelings for his Best Friend, though not the way other people see. He saw her as an Inspiration. A Collegue. He refused to think of her as nothing more but a close friend. Besides, even if he did have these kinds of feelings toward his best friend He'll still shrugged it off knowing it'll ruin his chance of having this unexpected frienship with the split colored-haired girl. I mean, it's not like He's Her type anyway, right? It's not like Lylia likes Him, right?

Right?

"So Harith, who's the lucky lady?" Cyclops said resting his head on his palms with a smirk

Harley secretly took a glance at Lylia who was too busy biting a staw then back at Harith

"Well it's-"

"Harith say it and I can assure you I'll send you to the pits of the abyss." Harley glared daggers At poor Harith who didn't get to finish his words

"It's Alright I guess, Afterall I'm strong anyway. I can defeat them with my eyes closed" Harith proudly said and Harley glared even more, You can visibly see the veins coming out of the Magician's forhead. When did he learn how to be this full of himself?!

"I'm just messing with you Harley, of course I won't tell" Harith gave him a wink while putting his arms around the younger boy

"You better.." Harley mumbled while continuing to glare at the poor leonin The rest laughed at their childishness.

They could never understand, don't they? He thought bitterly

"Harley has been awfully suspicious don't you think, Lylia?" Nana giggled while facing the said girl who quickly looked up

Lylia only stared at the female Leonin who is giving her a weird look. probably because of the result of her biting the straw countless of times

"It's unlikely for him tho but Hey good for him I guess."

"If I remember correctly. I did notice he's been hanging out with Ellie (was that her name?) these days. but I could be mistaken." Kimmy said cupping her chin

"Could be. But still if he ends up liking Her He better stay at his limits you know how Jawhead is overly protective and wouldn't hesitate to punch a Bastard" Chang'e said and the others nodded agreeing

Lylia looked at her friends dumbfounded as they discuss about Harley's new crush. She felt like something stabbed her heart.

"Excuse me, I'll be going to the mens room" They all Nodded, Whilst Claude got up from his seat as he went to the said room

Not a minute later the group began a new topic about that one time Claude and Harley tried to pull a prank on Harith in the bathroom but got in trouble when they found out that Harith knew about their little scheme and that Mr. Gord was the one who got soaked by the water resulting for them to get scolded by the Headmaster in his office after class hours

It was all fun and games when Diggie accidentally spilled his glass of water by his elbow and the glass shattered everywhere resulting for everyone in the Cafeteria to look at their table

"Diggie you idiot!" Nana slapped Diggie on the arm bending down while mumbling 'sorry's' to pick up the glass pieces scattered all over the concrete floor

"I-I'm sorry! Gah! Ouch-" He looked at his index finger which is full of blood

"Oh my! Diggie your bleeding!" Cyclops pointed his friend's bleeding finger. He stared hysterically at his now bleading index finger while his friends panicked
