Chapter One

A demi human by the name of Sebastian was on his 4th move into a new town, hoping for a better life without being discriminated for his mutation which has given him animal features such as cat ears and tail, with few other characteristic of a cat.

After recently moving again, he was slowly getting tired of moving every few months. He didn't like starting a new school as it ment he had to try finding new friends which never would last due to his moving. When you are the new kid, a lot of attention lands on you which he didnt like. Having a more femanine appearance as a guy and being a demi human made people give wierd and or confused looks. It is unknown how he was born with a cat tail and ears, but it was said due to some extremely rare mutation that isnt related to the parents dna. Sebastian didn't mind the way he was much, but alot of people didn't like that which caused him some trouble in school and the cause of moving schools frequently. Sebastian rushed out of his house as he was slightly late to school which wasnt usually the case. He got lost few times on the way there as he didn't get to explore and get to know the town properly, but he found his way to school with Google maps. The school was about twice the size of the old one which got him worried, it ment more people to be aware off. He went to the receptionist and was handed a map of the school, a journel with his timetable and a locker number was also handed to him. He headed to his locker and put books that werent needed way for the time being and closed it. Sebastian was slightly intimidated at how quiet but yet crowded it was, and so far no people seeming to care. The day went much better then in any of the schools he was in previously. For lunch Sebastian sat by myself as he didn't know anyone and was too scared to make a friend or two, after lunch he headed for the last two classes only to realise he got lost and coincidentally didnt have his map. He wandered around eventually finding it but being few minutes late. The school day ended and he was happy that it all went much smoother then usual, tho not much progress at finding a friend.

The next day in school, someone came up to Sebastian at lunch asking if he could sit with him, he didn't really want anyone sitting beside him but it was hard for him to say no so noded a yes. The guy smiled, he was tall and skinny on the chest but had broad shoulders and big arms, his dirty blond hair was up to his eyes but he kept it tucked behind his ear.
"Hi I'm Damian"
he said introducing himself as he sat on the bench, putting his stuff down and facing Seb, looking at him with a smile that is contagious
"I-Im Sebastian, I just arrived in this school yesterday"
He replied in a quiter and nervous tone, no one really talked to him so he lacked the social skills and wasn't very fond of making conversations with people he didn't know,
"I know you are new here and it might be hard for you right now, so want to be friends? I'll happily be of help"
He said in a cheerful voice, with the hopes in his eyes that Sebastian would accept his offer.
"Sure I guess, would actually be nice to have some company, this school is quite big and makes me feel abit uneasy"
Sebastian replied and smiled at Damian, happy that he has met someone nice but still secretly sceptical of him, due to his past experiences with people,
"Great! now come and meet my other friends, they are all chill and kind so there is nothing to be afraid off"
Damian said grabbing Seb's arm, he squeaked at the sudden pull and was brought to a table on the otherside of the cafetaria which was taken by two other people.
"Hey everyone this is the new kid, his name is Sebastian"
he said, introducing Seb to his friends. Sebastian replied with a quiet "hi", slightly  annoyed at the sudden grab and and pulling to the other side of the cafeteria, it certianly gave him slight flashbacks to his old schools.
"Is it ok if he joins our group? Would be nice to have a new member and we can help him settle in better"
Damian asked his friends, they nodded with a smiling yes, he then turned to Seb and looked at him,
"What about you? Would you like to join?"
He asked, letting go of Seb's arm after realising he still had a grip on it and apologising when he saw the slight irritation on Sebastians face.
"if thats of no trouble to ye, I dont wanna get in the way"
Seb replied, he and Damian sat at the table and once they all started talking to eachother, Seb began to be abit more confident around them and spoke more often and openly. He was happy with this new school so far, no bullying occurred  yet tho he didn't want to jinx it. He made three friends on the second day and so far  doing fine in classes which was nice but he feared that it would fall apart like in the past. As he got home, his mom noticed him to be more cheerful then usual after coming back from school, she asked him about how his day went and he told her everything about meeting Damian and his friends. She looked really delighted hearing that, hopefull that finally they can stop moving. Seb helped his mom with food and after dinner went upstairs to take a shower, going into his room and hopping on the bed he laid looking at the ceiling for a bit,
"I hope this year can go as smoothly as today"
He said to himself, as he eyes began to feel heavy, he went under his blanket and fell asleep. 

Few Days Later:
Some days go buy and without realising, it was already Friday. As usual Seb sat with Damian, Alex and Luke for lunch, they had their usual conversations about random thing like their favourite movies, songs they listen to and their hobbies, Sebastian has gotten quiet close to all of them already and couldn't be any happier with how things have been so far.
"hey Seb what's with the ears and tail, are they real or do you just like to cosplay or something?"
Alex asked pointing and eyeing them curiously, he was the nerdier and curious guy of the group but had a great sense of humour,
"um...well yes, they are real, I was born thatway"
Seb answered, knowing that one of them would eventually asked but feared that they might dislike him if they knew it was real.
"I have heard of cases where there has been people who were born with animal parts, the mutation having an unknown cause, but I have never seen it in person, can I touch your ears?"
Alex said with interest in his eyes, Seb just sat quietly for few seconds thinking about it until he gave him a unconfident and hesitant yes, allowing him to do so. Alex rubbed his ears gently and scratched the back off it, as if petting an actual cat. As any cat that is petted, Sebastian gave off a slight purr, he turned slightly red when he realised that he was.
"wow, them ears are really soft, and you even purr like a cat! Thats really cute and cool at the same time"
Alex said surprised and cheerful finding that out, Seb became slightly flustered at the compliment.
"Do you have a tail or just ears?"
Damian asked, joining into the curiosity, Seb turned to look at him, he pulled out his tucked in shirt and his tail slipped out,
"Um, well...I hide it under my shirt so people can't step or pull on it"
He replied, Damian nodded understandably and began to eye the tail as it slightly swung from left to right.
"Alex touched the ears but may I touch the tail?"
He asked, Seb turned slightly red, his tail was quiet sensitive to touch and he cant help but make noises when its touched, and that's the last thing he would want his friends to hear,
"Sorry but m-maybe some other time, you can touch my ears if ya wish tho".
Damian made abit of a disappointed expression but went back to his usual smiling as he slightly played with Seb's ears. Sebastian couldnt help but look at Damian constantly, he found him quiet cute but tried to deny it and act as if he didn't feel something towards him, as Seb only knew him for barley a week, yet there was something about Damian that Sebastian liked.
"Hey guys if everyone's free, how about we go out somewhere on Saturday? Seb still hasn't really checkout the town"
Luke said, interrupting the two who were fascinating over Seb's cat features. Luke is the chilest out of the group, he is like a tired dad to the two crackhead energied guys while Seb is like the quiet sibling who deals with them, but enjoys it.
"Sounds good"
Damian and Alex replied, Seb nodded and after school he went home and got changed in normal clothes, he put on a pastel Chelsea Grin t-shirt and some shorts to match, then he put away his school uniform. Rushed his homework and taking a shower he got into bed, as he was tried to fall asleep he got a message from Damian, it was an invite to a group. He accepted it and there was a message left my Damian, saying that they are gonna meet up at the fountain in the middle of the town at 1pm. Seb replied with "okie, sounds good" and checked online to make sure he knew where to meet them, he ended up staying late texting the group before passing out.
