Dream chuckled, "Oh my god, George, you screamed so loud I could hear you from my room!" They were playing Minecraft together, not streaming or making a video, just playing together as friends. Dream had moved in about a year ago, wanting to get a taste of independence from his parents without being completely alone. Of course, George had offered his house. He had been living alone for too long, everybody had already found their own places, and he really did admire Dream. He was an amazing friend, always cracking jokes and willing to cheer George up, even if he was mighty busy.

"Well, I wasn't expecting the lava at the bottom of the pit! You've just killed me, Clay!" George shouted, laughing a bit as well. He ceased his chuckling immediately, though. He had just slipped up and called Dream "Clay". Even though they had been living together for quite a while, George was in the habit of using the name Dream, so this was definitely another level of intimate...

George could hear Dream's tone of voice change, becoming a bit rumbly and deeper, "What... did you just call me?" George shivered. Dream continued, "Don't call me that. Got it?" George began to stutter, he hadn't really heard Dream get this serious. He began to understand... this name probably had some not-so-good memories attached to it, "Erm... I'm very sorry, D-Dream... I wont do it again..."

-Call disconnected-

"Oh... Oh no... He must be so angry, oh I shouldn't have said that, I thought it would be harmless!" George fretted out loud, nibbling on his short fingernails. Upon hearing a light knock on his door, George gasped "Oh! C-come in...?" Dream entered, having a hard time not giving his trademark smile, but reminded himself this was serious, as he had just scolded George for not knowing any better. Oh, he just couldn't help it. Dream let out a small chuckle, smiling, "Sorry, George, I didn't mean to sound so mean over the call. I'm not mad at you, I'd just prefer if you don't call me Clay."

George's face lit up very quickly upon hearing that Dream wasn't mad, he smiled and softly replied, "Oh, thank you! It's ok, really, I shouldn't of assumed you'd be okay with being called that before asking." Dream's cheeks became a soft pink, he wasn't used to people actually understanding and respecting that he didn't want to be called his "real" name. Suddenly, he tackled George fully onto the bed, hugging him slightly and laughing his happy laugh, "You little nerd, I wouldn't be mad at you for something so small, you baby." George tried not to get too worked up over this. Okay.. it was just his best friend ever and the person he admired the most laying in bed with him, cuddling onto him, and basically calling him baby. No big deal... George sat up quickly, afraid that if they stayed in the bed much longer, Dream would see George's flushed expression.

"Ohhh George~, why do you have to get uppp~?" Dream spoke with a flirtatious tone, gently grabbing onto George's arm as he still lay in the bed, acting desperate the second George sat up, "Don't leave me, Georgie-poo~"

George pulled his arm away, not angrily, but rather very embarrassed. His cheeks were now completely red, and he was aware due to the hot feeling running throughout his body. This was almost degrading. "Oh my god, Dream, go to bed, its nearly four in the morning. And plus, those purple marks under your eyes have become more apparent, you need this sleep."

Dream chuckled yet again, starting to sit up as he looked George in the eyes, "I will sleep, I promise. You've got to go soon anyway, right? You still have to pick up your papers from that dumb office, right?"

George rolled his eyes, scoffing playfully, "It's still an hour or two until I need to head out. Don't call them dumb, they're what's providing our ability to even own this house. Maybe you should catch yourself a job as well. I've been the one mostly paying for your living." He raised an eyebrow, almost as if he was challenging Dream to come up with a reasonable response.

Dream stuck his tongue out, but put it back to reply, "You're still on about this? I do have a job! It's YouTube! And it is a real job! It's just that the times are a bit rough right now!"

George sighed, not bothering to argue, "Mmkay, silly. Go on back to your room and get some sleep."

"Alright, alright." Dream grumbled, smile faltering, as if George was a pesky bug bothering him. He got up and left the room, heading to his own in their decently sized house. Once he got back into his room, he just sat on his bed and stared at the bleak, dull walls. He wasn't smiling now, like he had around George. Dream knew he wasn't going to be able to sleep, so why even bother? Though, he wasn't going to burden George with the fact that he struggled with sleep. It wasn't anything that anyone could fix, and he had been dealing with it for a while. The only reason it really bugged him now was because George had noticed he was lacking sleep, and he very much didn't want his best friend to have to deal with knowing that he was struggling at all. Dream let out a very deep sigh, his shoulders sagging as he completely turned off his people-pleaser mode. Had George really not noticed that Dream was trying to flirt with him? The blonde boy really couldn't decide if that was for the better or the worse.

He really just couldn't sleep anymore.
