George and Dream had fairly normal interactions the next couple of days. Life was just peaceful, for the first in a long time. Days of endless confusion and struggle were now surrounded by a floaty air of sureness and affection. Neither of them had really talked to each other about that day, or asked each other out. It was like it didn't happen, except for how much more comfortable they were with each other.
They began to spend more time together, like watching movies on the couch or late night runs for snacks. It was really helping Dream feel better about himself, in fact, he had been able to even get his sleeping schedule back on track. George was less stressed out after work, it made it much easier to manage everything. They often woke up in each other's arms on the couch or one of their beds, discovering they had fallen asleep cuddling.

George was out of the house again. He always did this thing, every other day, where he just seemed to leave randomly. It worried Dream and upset him a bit. He had been doing this for a long time, and Dream had always assumed something had come up with work or he was seeing friends, but he still wished he would at least send a text saying where he went. Now that they were closer, it seemed to worry him even more. He could never catch George before he left, it always so random. Every time he asked George where he had been, the older boy would blush and get really nervous, claiming that he was just with friends. Dream couldn't stop the negative thoughts that came to my mind, though. Was George possibly seeing someone else? Had he annoyed George too much that day? Was George doing drugs? Well, he was able to quickly eliminate one of those questions. George never came home seeming high or drunk, so that was good. Though, George always seemed happier and calmer when he came home.
Even though life was getting better for Dream, he was still really stressed out about other things, like family issues as well as how him and Sapnap's friendship had become very awkward. In fact, they actually hadn't talked in a while. George had taken notice of this stress, but wasn't quite sure what to do yet. He wanted to help Dream really bad, but he was scared to mess up.
George took a deep breath, shaking a bit. What he did when he left was his way of comfort, his spot to feel safe and alone. He had always hated the idea of anyone else figuring out about it.
But he cared about Dream so much. He wanted to help him. Maybe it was worth it to let down his guard for Dream.
