seven; decisions

Entering the Mystic Grill Jamari frowns at the sight of Damon Salvatore drinking alone at the bar.

Silently debating if she should make her way to the lonely vampire she decides against it for the moment and takes a seat at one of the empty tables parallel to the bar mentally noting that she wants to keep an eye on the raven haired man.

Matt Donovan raises an eyebrow at the sight of the immortal woman as he makes his way to her his notepad in hand.

"Jamari."

Taking her gaze from the eldest Salvatore she looks in the direction that her name was called to see Matt Donovan in a work uniform standing before her table.

"Hello Matthew, I wasn't aware that you worked here."

He shrugs. "Yeah, started when I was 15."

"I see."

"Can I get you anything?"

"What would you recommend?"

"Hm, the special of the day is the Mystic Salad."

She smiles. "I would like that then."

"Drink?"

"Just water if you don't mind."

He nods. "Sure thing, I'm going to submit your order and then bring your water right back."

"Thank you Matthew."

"Sure."

He turns beginning to walk away to put the young immortals order in before sighing and turning back around looking to the woman.

"He does this fairly often, you know."

She narrows her eyes a bit. "Damon."

"Yeah, he gets in his mood and then drinks all day and we have to kick him out a closing."

She frowns, her eyes lingering on the eldest Salvatore. "Does anyone come and retrieve him?"

"Stefan comes sometimes, and Caroline, sometimes Elena. But he's mainly here alone."

Her heart grows was heavy at the statement her mind wandering to a man that she had met long ago who's actions parallels the eldest Salvatores.

"I am going to check on him, I'll be at the bar."

"Alright."

Standing the raven haired immortal smooths back her hair and inhales deeply, preparing herself for any outcome that this interaction may bring.

Heading over to bar Jamari rolls her eyes at the various glasses and the faint smell of alcohol seemingly resonating from the vampire.

"Damon."

Not responding to his name, Jamari places hand on his shoulder.

"Damon."

Startled at the touch Damon sits up suddenly his eyes hazy and his movements slurred.

"What are you doing here?" He questions his hand going to the half empty glass beside him.

Quickly grabbing the glass Jamari hands it to the bartender with a small smile.

"He is cut off, please do not indulge him anymore."

The man nods glancing at Damon shaking his head in amusement.

"See you next time man," looking to the immortal woman he chuckles. "Get him home safe."

"I will."

Stepping behind the bar Matthew shakes his head an eyebrow raised, as he hands Jamari a plastic bag.

"I figured you would want it to go." He states glancing to the eldest Salvatore brother.

"Thank you Matthew."

"You need any help?"

She shakes her head grabbing her bag. "I am quite alright, thank you though Matthew. I appreciate the offer."

"Sure thing."

Placing an arm under the armpit of the vampire Jamari lifts him up and sighs. "It is time for you to go home."

Not responding the eldest Salvatore drops his head slightly as they make their way out the bar stopping every so often to readjust before they reach Damon's car.

Leaning him against the car Jamari sighs has she realizes that she would have to drive him home. Huffing his slight annoyance she ushers the vampire into the passenger seat and shuts the door.

Placing her food into the backseat she slips into the driver seat and turns the ignition, the slight hum of the engine fills the air.

Pulling out of the parking lot Jamari glances over to Damon ever so often seeing him wriggle in his seat unconsciously his head dropping at the effects on the alcohol.

A comfortable silence settles between them before Damon speaks. "Did you get the bottle?"

Rolling her eyes she pulls into the Boarding house driveway. "No Damon, I did not obtain the bottle. I do believe that you have had enough. You need to go to sleep."

Sighing dramatically he clumsily opens the door getting out of the car and begins to head inside. "That's no fun" he mumbles opening the door to the boarding house.

Jamari rolls her eyes slightly shaking her head at his drunken state. "Why don't you indulge in some water?"

"Water is boring." He slurs heading towards the bourbon behind the couch.

Sighing wearily the young immortal placed her hand on his. "Damon," she begins his eyes piercing hers.

"I think you had enough, it is time for you to rest."

He pouts slightly removing his hand from beneath hers and grazing her cheek, Jamari stares for a moment before turning away her mind flashing back.

"You are inebriated and I am not interested, Mr.Salvatore."

He sighs, "You know, most chicks would dig a night with me"

She frowns her lips tugging downward in displeasure and slight annoyance. "I am not a "chick" and will not be referred to a such. I am a woman and you are under the influence of spirits Damon. This is not right. I will not be submitting to your advances."

He huffs, placing the empty cup that was in his hand down. "That's what you say now."

"That may be true, but when you are sober then we can have a conversation. I came here to aid in your and the doppelgängers survival not to "hook up". You are going to go upstairs and you are going to rest."

Grabbing her salad from the couch she glances back as she begins to head to the kitchen. "Goodnight Mr.Salvatore."

"Goodnight Mari." He mumbles slightly staggering up the stairs.

Flinching at the use of the name she sighs brief sadness washing over her as she sits down.

"Lord protect that man, for you protect babies as fools."

Long time no read! It's literally been years since I updated this. But I was feeling the witting mood so I wrote this chapter. Let me know what you think!
